Hi Sara & others Suffering in situations w/Frequent UTIs/Kidney Infections!
When I was young, I was referred to a urologist for recurrent bladder infections (if my memory serves right, and I was a child, 23 confirmed UTIs & various kidney infections over the course of about 3 years). I landed in the hospital after child me was so sick that I passed out on the playground at my daycare. Eventually, they found that my bladder was allowing urine back into my kidneys which was causing the constant kidney infections & UTIs. After surgery to place stents into the area, I did not contract another UTI until about age 15/16 and I have been doing much better!
So, yes, a Urologist is a must if your UTIs are frequent and resistant.

To all of you with chronic bladder infections I would highly highly recommend having your "Urethra stretched."
Over 15 years ago I had it done after having bladder infections/UTIs constantly & since having this done I have never had a bladder infection!
I highly recommend it! Good luck

I used antibiotics for my UTI, but didn't have any results. My only symptom is lower back pain, but I'm suffering a lot. I can't even sit or stand up, or sleep properly. What should I do?
