This sounds closest to what i just experienced. 5am, awoken by sharp pain midway between my sternum and abdominal area. Right in the middle. I figured it was like a c**p or something so i was able to turn slightly to give that area a slight pull. It eventually went away. 22, female... let me know if you ever found out what it was.

I've v had my gallbladder removed but still get pains in my upper and and then it raidiats up my chest. I've been dealing with this pain since after my gallbladder was removed. I too went to the er and was told it was a pulled muscle. When I was pregnant with my last child I had it bad and the pain would not go away. Pregnancy safe pain killers only made it worse. They admitted me and found out they removed my gallbladder but my problem is actually a duct that won't shut all the way. I haven't seen a specialist yet because the last time I did they didn't fix my problem.
Now my husband has been having chest pains for the last week or so. It starts right under his sternum and radiants to both sides following the bottom of his rib cage. He isn't one to go to the dr but this actually has him concerned. It comes and goes but it comes 3-4 times a day and he says it knocks the wind out of him.

My husband used to get this and someone told him a pinched lung. I don't know if that's accurate or not.

My bloods are up and down. I also find it hard to inhale properly. Feels like I have been pummelled from the inside. Hospital pain killer Oromorph seems to be the only to take care of the pain. J

Hi, I have had a cold for two weeks and the past two mornings have had the exact same pain. There when I wake up, like I'm about to have a hunger rumble, then spreads round my back too. The first morning I was almost crying in pain, the second it was not as bad but still horrible. Did you find out what it is? Did it stop?

It is simple hewn take tablets it hair the lining off and it is inflamed. You need to take losec for an while see how it goes. If no tablets are taken you may have an ulcer

I am so sorry but I accidentally flagged your post. I was trying to thumbs up it and didn't have my glasses on! I let them know it was accidental. Anyway, thanks for the advice.

I wonder if you don't have endometriosis? The endless bleeding, pain etc It only takes 1or2 cells of the lining in the wrong spots (is not inside your uterus) to make the constellation of symptoms you've described. I would try to find a female specialist, from joining an endometriosis support group, that others recommend

It could also be pancreatitis. I have had it twice and hospitalized both times for 5 days. The only way to get rid of pancreatitis is to have no food or water for 5 days which means you need to be in the hospital to be monitored and have an IV hooked up. Terrible especially after eating or when stomach crowles.
