Hi, as I suffer from bladder incontinence and my body is constantly dehydrated a doctor proposed an urodynamics test, after urine culture gave no results. What is this procedure like?
Urodynamics is the test done to explore how the body stores and releases urine. Urodynamic tests are performed to check bladder and sphincter muscles work and can help explain symptoms such as incontinence, frequent urination, sudden, strong urges to urinate, problems starting a urine stream, painful urination, not completely empting bladder and urinary tract infections. It is performed with special equipment that films urination or urinating behind a curtain while a doctor or nurse listens. It is a normal procedure and can provide beneficial information to doctor.
