I am a 41 year old female. I am trouble getting an answer from my doctor and my gut instinct tells me that something is wrong with me. I have for the last 8 months had urine rention. I have to push to urinate or I will only pea enough to relieve the fullness feeling of my bladder. 4 weeks ago I had a very dark brown discharge like old blood that required the use of a tampon for 4 days, I then had what I thought to be a normal period that lasted 5 days, however for the last 3 weeks I have continued to bleed, but not enough to use a tampon. This blood is a bright red and almost seems like blood you would see from a wound. I just wondered if anyone had any experiences such as this or maybe has an idea of where I can start to research my symptoms.
Dear Shirley: I REALLY don't want to frighten you! BUT I have been doing some research regarding your symptoms, and I'm quite worried! Below is a link to show some of the symptoms, IF you think this is you I would really like you to seek OTHER medical advice IMMEDIATELY! More often then not it is the lesser of illness's BUT it is much better to be safe than sorry! It could be a SEVERE urinary tract infection, or fibroids etc. BUT let's find out first OK? Please let me know how you make out with ANOTHER doctor! Always follow your gut instinct OK? I wish you good luck and health!
