I am also going through exactly the same problem... Mine is thick white and I have it constantly, which gets really uncomfortable throughout the day...I started to notice mine about a month into seeing a new man. He never used to come inside me because I wernt on any birth control. But until he started coming inside me and I started taking Yasmin (birth control) it suddenly came on. It really gets me down and I have never really mentioned anything to my boyfriend because im so embarrassed so he must think I'm just horrible. But he mentions all the time that sex is dry and really hurts for him and it also really hurts for me. I havent tried using lube but I have been the doctors a few times. In the past I have been treated for BV, thrust, and cystitis and the doctors are constantly giving me STI checks which come back clear all the time!! But the last time I went to see a doctor, she suggested taking regular baths instead of showers as the water can get inside your vagina and wash it out. And she also suggested it could be the pill and then she said, I could be allergic to my boyfriends come, which was quite upsetting to hear. I going to try and change my pill though because maybe that might be it.  I have tried taking baths which reduces the discharge for about a few hours and then its back so it doesnt really work. But she said have a bath regularly and a bath after sex.

I start to notice the exact same problem when I started seeing a new man. Because I wasn't taking any birth control, he never used to cum inside me. And then I started to get it when I took Yasmin (birth control pill) and he then started cumming inside me. He complains about sex being dry and it hurts him and a few times he has been cut because of it, and it really hurts me after sex. And is especially embarrassing when you can see him trying to wipe it all off his penis after sex.

I have this thick white discharge constantly through the day and builds up in my knickers and it is so uncomfortable when your trying to get on with daily tasks.

I have been the doctors plenty of times and in the past I'v had BV, thrush and cystitis and I have been tested for STI's as well. But I keep going back the doctors about this problem but nothing really gets done apart from a swap which i never hear back from with the results.

The last time I went the doctors she gave me a few tips.... She said take regular baths instead of showers as water can get in the vagina and wash it out, and take baths after sex. I have tried this and it takes the discharge away for a few hours but it always come back. She also said it could be the pill I am on, some pills can release more discharge. And she also said (which I found really upsetting) I could be allergic to my boyfriends cum!

Hey! Yes I'm sick of this too!! Had it for three years..doctors say I'm normal (whateverrr)...K so I've tried everrrything! Finally I've found something that seems to be working....I feel more normal than I have in awhile..not perfect...but It's getting there....I bought VH essentials medicated douche (it's povidone-iodine)..I know they say douching isn't a good thing...but at this point I don't care....I douched for seven nights straight and inserted a primadophilus reuteri capsule each night (it will kinda leak the next morning so don't freak)....my discharge is no longer thick white or creamy. (i'm glad thats gone)...but it's still a bit dry..kinda dries up like glue...however it's starting to have that normal feeling mucous again when I have sex...(I haven't had that normal mucous in a long while)......I'm going to keep doing this right after my period each month...I bought the 8 oz bottle of the medicated douche (9 bucks) and I had to order the reuteri cuz my health food store didn't sell it......anyway...I know how upsetting this is especially when doctors look at you like you are an id**t.....anyway hang in there...try it!!! I hope this helps!

Hello. I find this extremely worrying to be honest. I have everything that you have explained and yet I'm only 16. I became sexually active last year and a week or so after I had a yeast infection. This was treated and then everything was fine. I then got another yeast infection and since then it's never been normal again. I've been examined, had blood taken, had a regular STD check and swabs have been taken to test for bacterial vaginosis. It changes in consistency all the time. Some times it's runny, some times it's thick and clumpy, other times it smells bread like and other times it smells fishy. It also dries out very easily. I avoid baths, wear cotton underwear, don't wear restricting shorts/jeans, don't use any perfumed products down there and I even stopped shaving. My doctor wants to refer me to a gyno but I'm afraid to go in case they also say it's normal discharge. I struggle with this a lot and I've got to the point where I loathe my body. Nothing seems to work and there seems to be no answers.

I've been having the exact same situation. Postmenopausal for many years now and this past year, creamy white discharge. I still have a uterus. I started taking the estrace cream about a month ago and it has seems to make it more than it was. Not sure why. Doctors say no infection or disease and it's more embarrassing than uncomfortable for me. It tastes like....unflavored yogurt? What's up with that? I sure would like to be back to normal. Interesting that I am seeing so many younger women with this issue as I thought it was due to lack of hormones??? Wish I had an answer. Instead, just another woman trying to figure it out.

It sounds like a good idea and are all healthy, positive and holistic things I am going to strive to do. If this is "the cure", I will be pained to live without my occasional cookie but I would much rather enjoy my sexual relationship than have a cookie any old day of the week. I realize this is not a simple change and is a complete lifestyle change for me (loving my sweets). I noticed that I started having this problem when my diet started turning from healthy habits to cookies for lunch. Now that I've created a monster, I guess I will just have to "suck it up" and be a healthier eater, not only for myself but for my partner. Certainly, after reading this thread for a couple hours, it's clear the doctors, for most of us at least, are not able to treat this with conventional pharmaceutical therapy. For my part, I do not subscribe to the take-a-pill-to-cure-life's-problems issues anyway. Thanks for taking the time for your suggestions. I'm gonna try.

Atrophic Vaginitis. I have this. It sounds just about as depressing as it is. My gyne put me on Estrace Cream which is a vaginal estrogen hormone replacement therapy. Since I have taken this, I have noticed several things: 1. I have sex drive again (hooray for sex drive) 2. Although my sexual partner unfortunately resides in my nightstand, it does get used more frequently, I have "juices" and my little friend and I have a very stimulating time of things since the HRT AND 3. Relative to the thread....OMG...the creamy discharge is worse than ever. It was cropping up beforehand, now on the estrogen it's WAY WORSE. At first I thought it WAS the Estrace, but it is WAY more than the 1gram I use that comes out. Still, I will take the creamy discharge over painful sex and lack of want any day. Still, it would be nice to have normal fluids. I am going to try for the better diet and hope that helps.

I have been having the symptoms you all are describing for the past couple months.  Let me give you some background...
I have always had a healthy diet.  I don't drink much soda, an occasional ginger ale, eat very few sweets or fatty foods and try to keep my diet balanced with low carbs, fruits, veggies and no red meat protein.  Lately, my diet has been shamefully awful.  I admit it.  I have lived on cookies, coffee and TV dinners.  I came home from a two day road trip half way across the US and smelled a little funk.  Realizing I probably had a minor case of BV I dosed myself with Kefir and probiotic supplements.  I douched with hydrogen pyroxide and distilled water and then scooped some good quality yogurt in my vagina.  I drank cranberry juice like it was going out of style and sucked down enough water to float a boat and then I made an appt. with my gynecologist.  Three weeks later, at the office visit, after feeling better but still noticing some white creamy stuff going on down there I mentioned it to her.  She said everything looked normal.  Tests all came back healthy and normal.  She put me on Estrace cream for hormone replacement therapy as I have suffered for years from atrophic vaginitis.  I am 48 and 8 years postmenopausal and, in case you were wondering, Atrophic Vaginitis is as awful as it sounds.

The HRT Estrace cream has been GREAT!!!!  Woot....want sex, no pain, it seems to be working.  I use 1 gram 2x week.  Not much, right?  I suppose this is when I noticed the symptoms getting worse.  Maybe because I have the desire for sex and actually have it.  Granted, I am between partners right now but I have some very nice toys that do the trick.  I noticed that they are CREAMY with little chunks in them.  At first I thought it was the estrace cream but it is way more than a gram.  No odor, no itching, pain or discomfort but pretty creamy.  That's when I found all of you.  I spent hours reading through every post and it sounded very familiar.  I started taking notes on things to try and did some thinking.  CYTOLYTIC VAGINOSIS and LACTOBACILLUS OVERGROWTH certainly seemed to make sense....

My diet has made me super acidic.  The yogurt "up there" and high dose probiotics, killing all the bacteria by douching with Hydrogen pyroxide and adding the Lactobacillus supplements seems to have cause an over abundance of the flora in my lady parts.  I googled these two key phrases and looked up the site a lady on here mentioned: www.virginia.edu/studenthealth/documents/Cytolytic Vaginosis.pdf.  I also looked at some other sites which do not recommend starting by douching as it will possibly cause a counter-imbalance so I decided to try the sitz bath method.  I use 3-4 tablespoons of baking soda in a small bath of warm water.  I don't actually put it in the bathtub but use a tupperware container and sit in it in the bath tub for 20 minutes twice a day.  During the last 5 minutes I take my finger and put it in the opening of my vagina to try to get the solution up there and practice my kegels.  It appears to be working since after the 20 minutes I can see the chunky creamy stuff floating in the sitz bath.  I have been abstaining from sex, too.  It's WORKING GIRLS!!!!!!  I have also found some sites that say it only helps some women and that for others, a week of Augmentin

In summary, here is what I think happened.  My poor diet has made me very acidic.  http://www.rense.com/1.mpicons/acidalka.htm  I am trying now to eat foods low in acid, high alkali to raise my ph.  The hydrogen pyroxide douch killed all the bad bacteria and the good too, followed by high doses of lactobacillus probiotic supplements, suppositories, etc.  Also, the lubricant I use is sweet.  I now realize lubricant is actually made to be acidic to kill sperm but for me, it just wasn't a good idea.  I found some lubricant called Pre Seed which is high alkali but I have yet to try it.  ***this post is edited by moderator *** *** web addresses not allowed***

All of these approaches are something to try, or at least discuss with your healthcare practitioner.  I hope it helps someone.  Best wishes.

So far, so good.  The t

I too am experiencing this problem and I can't believe nobody has discovered what it is. I'll post about my story :)...

I have this thick white discharge, which is like a cream cheese. It's always there. Even after washing, it soon returns. It doesn't really smell strong of anything.
I'm 19 now, and I've had it since before I started my periods. I'd say I've had it for around 10 years.
A couple of weeks ago I went to a GU clinic because I was having painful sex. I also mentioned how I believed this discharge to not be 'normal'. All the STI results were fine, and the high vaginal swabs showed it's not thrush or BV.
I'm not on the contraceptive pill and this discharge started at least 6 years before I became sexually active.
In terms of medication, growing up I have only been on inhalers.

Anyway, I went to the GU clinic because I have a bad relationship with my GP. But as they couldn't find anything, I think I'll have to mention it to my GP. The person I saw at the GU clinic said this may just be normal for me. But that doesn't help me! It's so unattractive.

I'll keep you updated with what happens with my GP!

Ok here's my remedy: either place one clove of garlic peeled and the juices coming out. Keep it in your vagina for one day. This will burn as hell and you will want to scream, but it works for yeast or bv. I know most docs will say no, but trust me it is bacteria due to the unbalance ph, hormones, etc, of you vagina. Next will be to use a syringe filled with homemade kefir, this will work to by placing healthy bacteria. Use the syringe rather than a tampon because it will shoot all the way up, unlike the tampon that dries, which can make it worse. Those two should work and lastly apple cider vinegar use with the syringe. Before inserting in any of this jump in the shower stick your middle finger and clean all the way and you will see that at the end close to your cervix you will find lumpy yellow stuff that accumulates there after sex and this is the true cause of the nasty discharge that docs call "normal". I know it gets worse after sex. Clean your vagina twice a month with your finger and place the item that works best for you 3 times a month and you will enjoy sex better. Suffer from this "normal" discharge since 12. Clean you vagina at the end of your period as well, this will keep bacteria away. I hope this help. I tried everything and I felt so nasty and uncomfortable with my husband even though it wasn't anything bad.
