Hi ladies...here's a follow-up to this post.

The sitz bath helped only somewhat so I decided to go with the douche. I used a baking soda douche two nights in a row and then used a product called PRE-SEED which is a high ph lubricant. Pre-seed is available at CVS over by the lady products. I used about 2.5 grams per night. There is another product called REPHRESH which my pharmacist said would also raise the alkalinity of my vagina.

No more white creamy stuff....YEA! Whether this is a permanent reset of my flora down there or it's not and time will tell. I can say this much, it allows me the opportunity to get intimate with someone without having to explain that I'm making yogurt down there...oh, but it's not an infection or a disease so no worries. I really would rather not have to go down that road. Am I right, ladies?

Also, I am trying to raise my ph by eating healthier, less sugars and coffee and more veggies and fruit and a little lemon in my water to raise my ph systemically. I am using an antacid with Calcium Carbonate to raise my ph, too. (Tums).

For me, probiotics and yogurt are a no-no. My issue is a lactobacillus overgrowth so resetting my flora down there and feeding it yogurt is what caused the problem to begin with.

I do use tea tree oil but not strait because it's way too strong. I use it with aloe vera and almond oil (just a smidge of almond oil). I put a dollup in my hand after a shower and smear it around down there to keep me fresh. I use it on my armpits, too.

That's horseshit. I'm a lesbian and have never had sex with a man and I have this problem.

I'm so glad I found this post.

I have a heavy, milky discharge every single day, it comes out so fast it sometimes soaks to my trousers even with a liner on. All tests from doctor are clear. The discharge has a sour smell and a bitter taste as some ladies here have mentioned, and it's putting me off sex because i worry too much about the OH's opinion and if he notices.

I've been having this problem for as long as I can remember. It lessens immensely when off BCP but after a pg scare i went back on. I have tried monophasic and biphasic pills, several brands, and nothing changes.

Using BalanceActiv (same as rephresh I think just a lot cheaper) seems to solve the problem WHILE im using it but it always comes back. I'm gonna try using it every 3 days but the cost does add up...

at least i know i'm not alone

I have also had this problem, for three years I have had thick white discharge. Have tried all different thrush medicines and none have worked! My most recent test showed that I didn't have thrush .. I told my doctor I wanted to try antibiotics as even though my tests showed no I fiction knew something wasn't right. He gave me doxycycline and at I'm still on them, at the movement the discharge has gone but whether it comes back I don't no. Hope this helps

Hi girls, its soap........changes the ph balance in the vagina. I've had it for years, started using feminine hygiene products. wash you body with soap, not the down below area. Use the feminine hygiene products down below, use iit last as your getting out. So no soap goes on you

I just started having the same problem! I'm not on birth control, I don't have STD's or a yeast infection, and it doesn't hurt or irritate me, it's just embarrassing. Has anyone figured out what this is?

I know very well what a lot of you are talking about. I too have had chronic something that varies in intensity but almost always includes heavy, incredibly un-sexy discharge, a bitter taste, and sour smell. It's been on-going for years and is, frankly, threatening to ruin my long term relationship. It's terrible. I've gone to Dr's time and again and get everything from "you're just yeasty" to "it's normal" to "we'll just treat for yeast infection or bv" to "your bf is a jerk". None of this helps my symptoms.

However, today I recalled that my Mom had (then outgrew/recovered from) an allergy to yeast. Symptoms run the gamut but include chronic vaginal infection, bloating, cramps, anxiety, mood-swings, and goes on to include ear infections, headaches, joint pain, pain that changes with the weather, skin problems etc. After doing a bunch of reading, it sounds like in some sense almost anything could be chalked up to yeast, but given my chronic vaginal symptoms, un-ending solution-less trips to the gyn, and family history, I have a strong hunch that is is actually what I'm facing.

The solution is challenging (but worth it to save my relationship) and requires a restrictive diet for 3+ weeks (to flush your system, then you're supposed to slowly reintroduce to tolerance). This is a no yeast, no sugar diet. This means you're not adding yeast to your system and not feeding existing yeast (e.g. sugar). Really, you're pretty much limited to veggies and meats with some whole grain pasta and rice. It also eliminates my favorite things like alcohol and coffee. (this is love folks). The diet is also supposed to be paired with an an anti-fungal supplement some of which are herbal and over the counter and some of which can be prescribed. Also of note is that fact that you can pass a yeast infection back and forth via your partner, so it would be helpful if he would treat for a yeast infection on his penis. I've read that the manly process of rubbing Monostat on his penis is exactly what needs to be done.

I surely can't say that this is right for everyone, but the more I look back at my collective symptoms: frustrating vagina, anxiety, joint pain (with weather), bloating, skin problems, etc. All of them are connected to yeast. So, here's to veggies and hopefully at least losing some weight as we go. Coffee & alcohol, what can I say? "I'm sorry but we had a good run and I desperately want you back someday."

Here's a good website I just found (I also like it because it permits tea & plain yogurt)

IT'S USUALLY NOT A PROBLEM, take that from your head, funny i saw this forum after having sex with my girl, its pretty clear, as long is not crazy nasty smell or different color than either white or clear its all good, search more places before asking a question jeez, watch some porn, as educational video if you want, the guys that dont accept their partners because of this is just wrong, tell him if he does not understand then tell him to educate himself or dump him.

If you look at porn there will be good chances you will see it pretty much all the time and its pretty hot. LOL.

Being uncircumcised also helps a lot, yeah it does dry out however the penis is designed with the extra skin to do the job, if you going to have a baby and its a male and the doctor ask you about they need to circumcise him, most likely they dont, do research, ask different doctors, don't let what other people tell you to be the same for your kids, ask your girl friends about him being circumcised. Im not posting this so you reply with religious beliefs simply at the end its each one of us choice.
