The only cure I have found is this:
Stop eating meat and dairy products. The hormones in these commercially produced foods are unbelievably detrimental to women's health! Yogurt has probitics, yes, but it also has dozens if casein protiens that affect hormones. There are plenty of better ways to get probiotics, kombucha is a great source.
Stop using synthetic tampons and pads! Use organic cotton or get a silicone "diva cup". Checimals are horrible for hormone balance.
Stop using soaps, lubes, shampoo, ect that have parabens. Also be very aware that most plastics contain Biphenol A (BPA) which was originally created in a lab as a hormone manipulation method in women, but when they realized that BPA takes on the form of a hard/clear substance, they started using it to make plastic items. Dont drink or eat things that contact plastic!!!

As a relief method, a cotton tampon soaked in diluted Organic Apple Cider Vinegar and a drop of Tea Tree Oil works wonders.

Hope this helps someone!

I have tried going on Birth Control to help balance my hormones. My Doctor said at first she thought it was happening because my estrogen dips before my period, which can cause irritation and itching. I’m on my 3rd month of birth control and like clock work I’m still starting to get the redness and itching right when I start ovulating. I’m going back to my doctor in a couple weeks to update her and see if there is anything else I can do if the hormone balancing technique isn’t working. One of the users above mentioned it might be a PH imbalance which I have felt it almost seems like, but taking a bath with baking soda just seems like a pain to have to do. Does anyone know if there are any PH balancing creams that have worked for them? I’m going to check with my doctor as well and can update on what ends up working for me. I feel you ladies.

Thank you for this! I also believe it is caused by acidity. I will also try to change my diet as this could be the originator of the problem.

I am taking clomid and have all the same issues. It happens around the time I ovulate until I get my period and then it just goes completely until my next ovulation. It’s so frustrating :(

I have had similar symptoms off and on for atleast 2 years. I as well believe this is hormone related. What I found to make a difference within a day sometimes two days is a combination of Raw Organic Unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar. (I like Bragg brand. I don't suppose that matters much) and Pure Concentrate cranberry juice -Not the sweet stuff. Also, I have had good results with taking Vitamin C and Garlic supplements-the gel ones-and drinking pure cranberry juice. The last time I had a flare up I drank a tsp or 2 of the Apple Cider Vinegar and a tbls of the cranberry juice mixed together in about 8 ounces of water (you can add more water if you like) 2-3 times a day; in conjunction with taking the garlic after every meal-the bottle says "take up to 4 a day preferably after a meal." With in a day I start feeling SO much better. There are many videos on the health benefits of apple cider vinegar when taken correctly and also on aloe vera juice; these two are both said to be good hormone balancers. I will be starting on the aloe vera juice tomorrow. Another thing I do is lay off the soap/shower gel. Rinse with clean water. Make sure you rinse/wash thoroughly. I feel so much more fresh and clean washing with just plain water. I still use soap on my top part but not down there. Sleep with no panties on when possible - I have young kids so not always possible :-). I hope everyone gets better real soon and hope this helps. Also, being over weight can throw off hormones. I am overweight. however with starting apple cider vinegar last November I've lost 17lbs with little to no exercise. Check into aloe vera and apple cider vinegar.

I would like to add to my comment written above that if you are diabetic or have any gastro problems that you should speak with your doctor before taking up a apple cider vinegar regiment or taking it period. I am not a doctor but I heard that it could cause you problems. Be blessed everyone!

Stop douching, what you are actually doing when you douche is pushing bacteria back into your vagina. See if that helps

OMG THANK YOU!!! It’s been 2 years of this , I’ve literally cried out of frustration. Everything I tried for yeast only made it so much worse. I’ve been at my wits end with it. I was just sitting here trying to figure out what’s wrong with me because I’ve been so incredibly uncomfortable all day long, the itching literally the only thing I could focus on cuz it was so bad and got so much worse after trying Monistat one last time. I found your post googled and realized I had all your symptoms and everything else I was reading on cytolytic vaginosis. I decided to give the baking soda douche a try and holy c**p it burned at first since I so raw from the itching but then within 10-15 minutes I could already feel relief. Thank you so much for your post, I’m so happy to finally have a plan and some relief!!!!!!

I am having pretty much the same problem. My skin become itchy and extremely sensitive and weak, which cause me to get these small cuts that feel like paper cuts. They burn, and when I pee it burns for the pee to touch them. And then of course I scratch because of the itching which just makes the cuts worse. Its driving me crazy. I notice it starts right around the time I ovulate and lasts until my period. Then right after my period i feel ok for a little whil, then it comes back. Because of this o can't have sex except for theat week right after my period. I'm married and it's taking a huge toll on our sex life. I'm not on birth control or any medications, and I am pretty healthy overall. The strange thing is it started when I was pregnant with my first child. I never experienced this before being pregnant. That was 3 years ago and the problem continues. Because it strayed during pregnancy and seems to happen in cycles along with ovulation I believe it is related to hormones. I have been treated for yeast infections and bacterial vaginitis, but of course the problem returns. I feel like I am going to lose my mind if I don't find some answers as to what is going on.
