There are a lot of women who have problem with vaginal odor, and most of them use some perfumes, and endless supply of feminine hygiene products. Truth is that you don’t need any of these products and that you are not unsanitary. There are several factors in women’s health that cause vaginal odor. All of them can be eliminated simply and painlessly. Most of it is caused by an infection called “gardnerella” which causes bacterial vaginosis. This odor may become more pronounced after having sex and is often referred to a fishy in nature, and this is the most common type of vaginal odor. Cause of bacterial vaginosis and vaginal odor as a result isn’t fully understood. Usually it develops when there is change in the environment of the vagina that cause increasing of harmful bacteria. Also it is mystery how woman get BV and vaginal odor, because it appeared in women with a lot partners as much as women then never had sexual intercourse. Yes, but using some perfumes in order to improve or to make your vaginal odor disappear is a really bad decision. It is not the way, for sure.
Look, vaginal odor may vary be caused by your menstrual cycle and may be especially noticeable right after having sex, which is, I believe, normal. Also, normal sweating also can cause a vaginal odor. That is harmless.
But, vaginal odor can be caused by some many different things, such as bacterial vaginosis, poor hygiene or more serious causes.
Anyway, as soon as you notice that you have a weird smell coming out your vagina, you should try to practice good hygiene, drink some teas, etc. But if you don't see any progress within 4 to 5 days, you should see your gynecologist.
