hi i am a 16 year old male and have recently noticed an achy feelin in my testicals. i have been doin some reasearch and have come to the conclusion that i have varicose veins in my scrotum. they are on both sides so both testicals are affected. also my testicals are very small for my age and i think these varicose veins could be the cause. is there anyway i can get my testicals back to normal size and get rid of these dilated achy veins. thank you.
Hey Phantom, I am 21, and I have recently developed a varicose vein in my scrotum. My only advice if you are concerned about it is to go and see a GP. I know it is embarrassing, but you must remember your testicles are just another part of your body, just like a hand, a foot, a knee, a nose, an eye, it is all apart of the same structure. Its only that they are involved in sex, and are hidden away in underwear that people think there is some reason to be embarrassed about them. Just go to your doctor and pull them out, you will realise it isn't that bad. It is your body, and you obviously want the best for it, and if that involves being open about it and getting your problem examined by a professional who is paid to deal with this kind of stuff (and someone that has seen it all, problems far worse, and far more embarrassing then yours), then that is what you must do.

When I went to get an ultrasound, the doctor who was doing it for me was trying to be as polite as possible about it. They really do understand that it is a little bit difficult for anyone to be examined like that, doctors are humans after all.

(This advice applies to everyone with any problem they wish to get some info on, but are embarrassed to see a doctor about.)

Hi im new to this website. i have been married for 7 months now. my wife has a cyst which she told me about before we got married. she did not get pregnant. we consulted a specialist for her cyst. the doc advised her to go small surgery to remove it, but before that he asked me to get a semen test to rule out any problem on my side. i got the semen test done. my semen count was low(5.6million. MIN 20million is normal range.) plus it had some puss cells and faint blood cells too. so the fertility specialist asked me to consult a urologist, i went to the same and he did a physical test on my testicals and told me that i has dialated veins on the same like vericose. he asked me to get a scrotum doppler done on my testicals to see the blood flow. which again i got did and the result said i had vericose on both my testicals. basically because of these veins blood flow to my testicals was more than normal. and this flow was causing damage to my testicals and was the responsible for the low count of semen. now the urologist has advised me to undergo a small corrective surgery on both of my testicals. it takes 3 months for my testicals to produce semen to normal range which is 20million. i hope and pray to go that this surgery will help. please let me know if i should get any other tests done.

thanks
