Hi my little girl was sick with phlegm this morning and I have been advised to starve her for 24 hours is that right it's not as if it was normal sick and she had her flu spray about 24 hours before this started happening.

I have this same exact problem!!!! Anything new? I figured it was my 5 years of heavy drinking. I recently stopped drinking so I will see if that helps. And a healthy diet. I don't know what else to do.

My dad always gagged and puked and I had it as well for the better part of 20 years. Everything would drain, toothpaste set it off in the morning. Often had to stop on the way to work because symptoms took too long to subside. My son has it also and he is miserable. I stopped eating gluten due to another issue and whoa haven't had the heavy congestion, gagging or puking in the morning for quite a while. If you decide to try eliminating gluten, it hides in odd places and only total elimination worked for me.

My late father had some sort of opp on his sinuses or polips??cant remember.
As a singer, some years ago thought I had nodules, went for examination turns out I was producing to much mucus and clogging vocal chords.Vomiting flem was not an issue then but is now.I drink,smoke and eat fatty food so it could be any of the above including dusty bed room.you all make sense but I think it is the sinus thing at the root of it and it is being exaggerated by the above.I noticed it didn't happen when I quit smoking for a few months but my voice still rattles when I sing in the upper register. I thought I was on my own until I googled and found this post.Good luck all.

Anytime I get slightly sick with a runny nose this becomes a big issue for me. Mucus non-stop all day dripping into my throat, I puke mucus up every now and then like others, my air purifier went out a couple of months ago and I have noticed the issue has gotten less manageable without it, I recommend picking one up for anyone dealing with this issue to keep on when your in bedroom or sleeping at night.
