That's interesting you say it may have something to do with diabetes. I have Diabetes and I've been having this problem for as long as I can remember almost every single morning. Its mostly just spit but sometimes its bile and it burns so bad. I am also a smoker. My father has the same issue but he isn't diabetic and he isn't a smoker so I'm not sure. This is just the strangest thing and I wish I could make it stop. I think a lot of mine has to do with stress.

So I am 46 and for the last ten years not every morning, more so now than before .,when I wake I am fine I make my coffee and take a shower no sooner am i out my stomach turns and i start getting nauseated. I can not drink anything cause that feeling you know is coming mouth starts to fill watery and when i do vomit its clear , white substances. Now I have noticed when i use Afrin or any nasal spray due to my allergies Nasal passages swell shut. I will get sick even faster and same form of liquid ,phlegm and or pile cause it does burn when there is nothing in your stomach to bring up

No blood clots no nose bleeds, but it has awoken me during my sleep before. I think based on others responses it’s a combo of probably dust/sleep position/ and temperature. Can I ask everyone that see this if when you sleep is the temperature low? I set my thermostat to 69 at night, the moment I lay down if I am not on my back, my nose is IMMEDIATELY stuffy. 80% of the time my nose gets so stuffed that I am forced to breath through my mouth. I can feel the mucus building up in my face.

I feel like when we wake up all that mucus warms back up and begins to drain and a combo of our stomach getting upset from the mucus and the literal mucus draining triggering our gag reflex causes us to continue to puke. When I’m puking I’m constantly coughing in between because I can feel the mucus in the back of my throat and I want to get it out. I think maybe stress also helps trigger more mucus production along with other factors common in peoples diet however I don’t think any of those factors are the cause for this issue as when people change one or all of the possible causes they see minimal results. I am currently trying to sleep staying elevated and warm and I’m hoping when I wake up I don’t like for 15 minutes.
