Table spoon of Braggs Apple Cider vinegar before bed, and one in the morning. Will cure this and numerous other issues. You can mix it with something. Shake well before using.

I have had this problem for over 15 years. I usually do not have this problem if I sleep in and do not take a shower immediately. I am a heavy drinker and am curious about the results of those who stated they were going to stop drinking. Did it help?

Thank you for this. I've been worried about these symptoms and after reading your post realize it only started once my mom was diagnosed with 2 terminal brain tumors. I hope I will be able to find a healthy way to deal with the stress of this but your post helped me feel validated.

I have been waking up and throwing up phlegm for about 6 months now. It's not discolored or anything there's just a lot of it. I am a man and was told excess phlegm can cause artery build up so not good. I have read other posts and don't see much for a cure. I'm going to my doctor in a few weeks to see what he has to say. I hate waking up every single morning throwing up and gaging on phlegm

Yo guys i believe I've found a sort of cure, apple cider vinegar and honey mix them together over the stove. An have it every morning.
I told my mother about this after like 10year of voming, she spent 2min in the kitchen made, made ne drink it. And now every morning i re heat a small shot glass of it before work no vomiting..
Apparently my grandpa had this problem but he added a thimble full of scotch to it. Each to there own i suppose. Anyway that the aussie way to solve it. Hope it helps.

Oh my goodness! I cannot believe that I've found this thread! My dad had it and I also have it (thank you, dad). I always felt like no one really believed me when I explained that I have had this happen to me every morning. Though I have noticed that it happens more in the winter months (or coming up to winter) for me.
Some mornings it can be over in a minute, other times it can take up to 20+ minutes. I also have a heart condition that I was born with and I need to calm myself down when my heart goes racing. So when it takes longer than 10 minutes, I have to try and breath in and calm myself down. Usually, because I'm panicking so I won't be late for work
As one of the comments stated below, when I sleep in it doesn't happen as often especially when I wake up late. Either because it is warmer during the late morning or what.
I must read the rest of the thread to see if there is a way to reduce or stop this!

The doctor that I saw today (not my regular and because I needed a certificate to have off work), said to me "Well you're not dying, so maybe it's a once off?" I've had it for over 15 years!

I've read enough of these articles to pick up common behaviors in all of the people w persisting morning mucus vomit problems. They're either smokers or work in an enviroment prone to allergens, like dust (i.e bricklayer).

It also might be location too. Where do you move from/to?
I had this problem for about 5 years while living in Oregon, I moved to Southern California and it cleared up and stayed cleared up for the 4 years I lived there. Then, about a week after moving back to Oregon in started again, and 5 years later to date, it's still an issue.

Hi,
About 3 weeks ago, I had waken up quite earlier then usual and I felt pain in my throat and stomach. About 30 minutes later I vomited, but my vomit was all mucus. This cycle repeated for about 3 weeks and is still continuing, I have seen a doctor and all I was given was nausea tablets. I am still fighting this battle and need some advice on what to do.
If you have any feedback or ideas I would love to know
Thanks :-)

My father has the same problem. Not just in the morning, but anytime he eats, after he takes a couple bites. He has been taking Omeprazole (Prilosec) for over 2 yrs. Takes lots of other pills, but been reading about this problem and this is the third thread I found where Prilosec shows up!
