We are considering colostomy reversal in an 87 yr old man who is very prone to "sun downing&quo

My father had an emergency colostomy in June and had terrible hallucinations, sleep loss, dementia, that corrected itself after 2 months or so. He has no problems taking care of his ostomy by himself and is living alone comfortably. Is reversal something suggested at his age of 87 or would we be opening him up to a host of other problems.
