I am a sculptor, philosophical writer, poetry rhymer, singer, designer etc etcI even see the motions of my working out at the gym or the precision of shifting and steering my car as artistic in nature.  All my actions are...

People compliment me endlessly on all of these innate skills that i did not train for...I take them in moderation as I know I was simply born this way.Without weed I have no creative ability whatsoever... I even walk awkwardly now....Clearly weed is a catalyst...

I am certain if I hit 1/100th of a joint all abilities would be back...I smoked since 14; am now 25... the frustration is making me down.  I am starting to think maybe my mind has developed around THC and it is too late to go back....

How long should I wait till I give in?!?!

I noticed I appreciate my sculptures now; where before I didn't  Because they are now impossible/beyond what I can do....lol! :(

I am grateful for any replies!

MUCH adoration to our human crew aboard this earth.

So why don't you smoke??... I am missing that part in your story..

Hope I never run into you when driving my car :)

Oh sry I assumed people knew smoking damages the body.
for me it was: The imbalance resulting from dehydration...
Also I was starting to have troubles breathing when trying to get to sleep at night.
(I stopped that day... and my lungs have improved since)
And then the continual increased tolerance requiring me to smoke even more.
Also, I find eating THC to be a totally diff ball game; so it is not an option.

I am VERY cautious when I drive!! :P
though I now steer like an awkward, uncoordinated person lol...

Well... that's a toughy. Stay off the weed or be more creative.. but when you give in, I have a feeling that your cannabis use will be even worse than before you quit. Maybe you will be able to find a good balance though... Ever thought about vaporizers? It won't affect your lungs as bad as normal smoking will. Tolerance however will increase independent of the method you use.

How long is it since you quit? Maybe you're still in the withdrawal phase, in which people tend to be negative... This should subside (could take months, the longer you smoked, the longer it can take) and when it has you should feel much better and feel better able to do stuff that you think you are incapable of now. Ever tried meditation or similar stuff??

Isn't a fair analogy the athlete that performs best with doping? After a while he retires because the dope has taken its tole and he can't perform as well without. He has to find other ways of being 'succesful' in life. Become a trainer, go into business, start taking courses... as you are only 25, there are still many options to develop yourself in the same or other fields.

just some thoughts, hope there is something in there that you can use.
take care

p.s. can you describe more what you mean by imbalance?? How did it start? When did it start? Where did it start? Is there any anxiety related stuff (difficulty breathing?) going on with you? Can you describe this imbalance, how does it feel and how does if affect you? etc etc I have a little bit of knowledge on this subject...

MegAdam, :)
Thank you for reminding me about how when I go back the use is even harder.
I have quit for a year before; and that is exactly what happened.
But i never wrote a single poem and was just robotically passing time.

By imbalance I mean physical and consequently mental discomfort.
An inability to do the basics, like sleep, eat, talk to people, etc...
Yes anxiety has always been an issue for me:
However, my breathing would be good and my hand steady:
I think I have a strong mind; I never freak out.
I seem to be abnormally sensitive for a guy (I believe it is innate).
I would feel like(for example):
A loved one died...
Or an extreme version of what one might feel prior to a big exam.
Balance to me would be peace...
Like a spiritual thing: Dare I use the word in this scientific age. :p

Ah, I thought you talked about dizziness or balance problems (you walk akwardly?)

I am just someone with limited knowledge about mindbody problems and cannabis use, just to inform you...

You have a sensitive soul, be proud of that! :)

Anxiety is what was and is probably still bothering you here, that is my opinion. It can throw your whole body and mind out of balance. Weed tends to aggravate this, I don't think it was the dehydration from weed, just a build up of unconscious emotions that can suddenly start symptoms. Anxiety/stress can cause breathing problems and can even create physical discomfort/pain like neck pain, stomach problems and whatever you can think of.

I advise doing yoga and/or meditation to become more balanced. Once you feel more balanced, you can work on your future. If you do it in a group, you probably find some soulmates too...

Further I advise to find a psychologist that you feel comfortable with to talk about the things that bother you and who may be able to help you with your anxiety too.

Another thing... Stop trying to achieve what you did in the past. You are a different person now, with other qualities, you just have to discover them. Looking back and comparing your work to work that was created under the influence of weed will not bring you anywhere! Focus on the now and the future!

Always remind yourself that everything will work out for you in the end and that you will come out mentally stronger and emotionally richer than before. I put money on it that some time from now you will find yourself being creative again. Maybe not creating things like you used to, but other, deeper things that may be more meaningful to you. Maybe this sums it up best: let your weaknesses make you stronger...

I am rambling, partly because I am pretty sensitive/anxious myself and smoked weed for 15 years. Since I quit the ganja and accepted myself, I feel my soul is blossoming... ( how poetic :) )

I hope some of the things I wrote help you in some way,
take care man

Ya I have no problems accepting who I am. Love myself :)
I also have no trouble talking about problems... Quite naturally open to those willing to listen.

I really think I will try this yoga idea!!!! Actually the part about meeting someone has enticed me most.
I have done modeling and commercials and used to assume looks would land me someone...
I have never had a girl and for sure have learned my lesson that mind matters most.

Thank you for your words of wisdom <3
I am reminded that despite all the negativity in the world;
good people are always present.
