Weight Loss after a Hysterectomy?

Love your post. reading the net is chaotic. I have had PCOS all my life since I have been 13. I still have my cycle and I am 56. I recently had a D and C and they found 30 cyst clusters and removed them. my husband who is 37 and I are considering a hysterectomy. I am liking the vaginal information. How was everything post-op? Weight loss or gain?
I am 36 and have cysts and uterine fibroids, they are going to try and leave me with the left ovary, but the rest is going bye bye! I’ve been so bloated and miserable for 2+ years, and constant stabbing pains. My sure heart is scheduled for next month.

:) hi, my daughter had a full removal of uterus, ovaries and she has gained weight! My mother was same way she gained a massive amount of weight! But, I think she ate a lot during day when no one was home and tired hard not to eat much for supper, but it didn't work and dad was unhappy about with her! She said us kids were making her eat more you believe that one! She had no self control, period! I think she was totally frustrated! she is gone now and I am more than her age and my husband & I still enjoy each other too he is 85!!

I hope you are feeling okay! I also lost a little bit of weight. I had the surgery three weeks ago. I am watching what I eat, but find that my appetite has decreased a little.
