Hello, I am writing with a problem that I seem to have at this point in my weight loss. Three weeks ago I looked in the mirror just estatic to see that my efforts were showing with a very slimmed down abdomen. That was until three days ago, when I weighed myself I weighed 10 pounds less, have not strayed from my 1200 cal diet and work out every day, however when I looked in the mirror I was horrified to see that my stomach is now seeming to pooch out past my breast (not too bad I'm only an A cup). This was just odd to me, has anyone experienced this before? Please tell me what I can do to make this go away! I can't stand it. I actually look pregnant (I'm not. 100% sure not even a chance).

Hi there.

It could be bloating. My stomach bloats quite a bit, too like yours. It could be water retention from alot of sodium. If you aren't pregnant you could be bloating close to the time you expect your period, I know I do. Sorry this isn't much help.

Not 100% sure on how much you are exercising, but are you sure 1200 calories is enough for you?

If you are finding that your body is actually storing fat, it could be that you aren't getting enough in your diet, and you body has actually decided to store this (it's a natural body reaction to store fat as a reserve if there isn't enough in your natural diet).

Keep talking to people and getting advice, but I would probably analyse your diet to ensure you are getting the proper proportion of fats, protien, and carbs.

Also, highly active people actually need to eat a bit more food to ensure their muscles are recovering properly (along with proper rest of course)...which in turn can help you develop more lean muscle mass and improve your metabolism.

Good Luck!
