Hello, my sister is 48 years old and she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. I admit that I cannot sleep well ever since I heard that and I cannot even imagine what she feels like. Can you tell me something about IAP proteins? What are those and why are they important for cancer cells? I heard the doctor mentioning several possible treatments including those proteins…
I hope that the cancer has been discovered in an early stage so that there is a great chance there will be no major attacks on your sister’s health. She will have to go through therapies, perhaps even surgery, but I think she will be all right when all is finished. As for IAP, those are actually inhibiting substances that prevent production of certain enzymes important for the development of cancer cells.
