Hi, guys. My friend had some vesicles in his mouth. He went to see a doctor and he was diagnosed with mucoceles. I must admit that I have never heard about this before, so I would appreciate if someone could tell me what they are actually. I would appreciate all your replies considering this. Thanks.

Hi, there. I have heard about oral mucoceles. They represent the swelling of connective tissue. It is formed from ruptured salivary gland duct. There is mucin collected within. Children and young adults are more affected. The surface of the inner lip is the most affected location. It can also be found in the inner side of the chick, floor of the mouth and on the tongue.
