You dont feel good at all? was it because of being on 32mgs? I was also on sub for 8 years but recently quit..I am 1 month off..But I was on 1mg the last 4 years and tapered to 0.4 in 5 months and jumped...Only problem am having right now is restlessness and insomnia...Do you think I may not get it bad as I was on low dose? I also exercise a lot too..I am 33 years old..How old are you?

I've been addicted to suboxone for about 4 years. I've tried to quit about 3 times. One was almost successful, about 40 days in, before I relapsed, because I was sick of feeling like sh*t. Intense (extremely intense) withdrawal symptoms lasted about 4 weeks. Extreme pain and discomfort, caused by my body itching, feeling simultaneously hot and cold, and separate sides of my body. Pain in my legs that wouldn't allow me to sleep, all along with extreme flu like symptoms. Just feeling all around sick. It was complete hell, I wish I hadn't relapsed, because I intend to try again.
Tramadol helps quite a bit with the withdrawal symptoms. I took it later in the detox and it all but made my symptoms go away. I still felt shitty, and not high, but it was tolerable.Long-term now, suboxone has caused shortness of breath, which I constantly struggle with. Fatigue. Randomly sick about 30% of the time. Depression sometimes. My body will often just feel wrong. Like there's something wrong with me.
I can't wait to get off the sh*t. It sucks.

I am glad someone finally agrees with me on the annoying 'too much coffee' buzz. Same here. It saves me a fortune having a script, but I get really psyched out and almost lose my sh*t all of the time. Also, I feel like my blood pressure is through the roof. I can't shut up (normally I am a quiet person) and I'll even be hollering sometimes and catch myself.

I was on hydrocodone for 3 yrs. before I was introduced to suboxone. I took suboxone for 5 yrs and have only clean for about 7 weeks. As you start to taper down your body will start to show signs of withdrawls and these are signs of withdrawls. You can up your dosage but as with anything the more you do the harder it is to quit.

Here's some truth. It's called addiction and I do understand no one wants the label ADDICT. In patience addiction treatment where they offer a full medical detox and rest gives 99% of addicts a chance to enjoy life again is your best option. Weaning/tampering down, you're still using. 30 days in patience treatment vs 6 months of weaning. Give me a break, better yet give yourself a break. Get some professional help.

There is so much misinformation on suboxone. Subsux.com is a site dedicated to bashing it. If you want success and success stories on how to PROPERLY taper with almost NO withdrawal, look at suboxoneforum.com My story is posted on there on how i went from heroin to sub. I was on sub for 3 years. With a slow proper taper, I had almost no withdrawals at all. People trying to quit from 2-4 MG are completely ill informed and stupid. Youre asking to be in pain. I quit from .25 mg and still had some minor things come up. Only some diarhea, and lack of sleep. I had no real withdraws. No skin crawling, restless leg.. NOTHING. People are tapering even lower than I did and not even noticing when they finally quit. And from what ive seen, the people who want to jump off from a high dose or rush the taper process and be impatient, they are not ready to truley be done.
After years on suboxone, when my life was in order I was ready to quit and never looked back. No doubt in my mind I would be dead without suboxone. Been off suboxone for 4 months now and feel great. It can be done, IF YOU DO IT RIGHT.

Hello.
We are conducting short anonymous survey about Suboxone treatment, withdrawal and side effects.
The goal of this survey is gathering real life experiences from you and other people who went through treatment with Suboxone, Subutex or any form of medication that contains buprenorphine/naloxone.
We’ll use your experiences to make an ebook guide in order to help all patients who are currently going through Suboxone treatment, Suboxone withdrawal or who are experiencing side effects.
This survey will take no more than 10 minutes of your time, and your answers may help people who are going through hard times on Suboxone.

To anyone out there taking this awful drug...I feel for you. I just broke up with a man who first off, lied to me and never disclosed his taking of this drug. He was on Vic oden for 7 years and went to rehab for 30 days to get off that, never finished program, got onto this awful drug and has been on it for 5 years...I suggested he taper off, but he can't do it...and has to many excuses NOT to want to get off...so it ended our relationship. I had seen him in 3 different personalities...not my cup of tea.

Lots of people commenting about ruined teeth. I have been using suboxone/subutex for about 3 years now and my teeth are fine. I believe (not a professional opinion) this is because i drink about a gallon of milk every three days and i DON'T brush too often or hard. ive also never had a meth problem lol which may be the case for some. no judgements of course, just maybe eat a giant bowl of cereal once a day (like me)
