wow where do you start...FIRST off start taking probiotics especially floraster that one is the best to restore your natural flora Then start the natural anti infection drink , go see an old chinese medicine doctor I saw a young chinese medicine professor who worked wonders with me and I did not think I was going to make it. I had every test every blood draw every sort of specialist you can imagine. ! The last option was exploratory surgery. ..which I still might do but meanwhile at least ND chinese medicine doctor knocked out 85% of my symptoms.

Do you sleep on your side? It's possible that, during the night as you move about in your sleep, air is being forced into your ear by contact with your pillow. Try sleeping on your back.

I have exactly the same problem for the past one month. I can recall having similar symtoms in September 2012 but it gone away after I used ear drops and oil in my ears. it is so strange that one day you feel absolutely fine but the worst the next day. I have no pain or fluid coming out of my ears however sometime feel dizziness. I have been to the doctor who said that tubes from throat to the ear canal might be swollen and infammed and hold fluids in. It make sense to me and cure that has been prescribed by the doctor is to chew often i.e. use chewing gum as this will help because of the Jaw movements and also pinch the nose and blow for 1-2 minutes for about 24 times a day. I have tried both and pinching and blowing has definitely helped. I must point out that I have not done it 24-times a day however I have tried it 3-4 times a day and have felt that it has helped about 25-30%. I fhave visky feelings in the back of my head between the two ears evey time I carry out that exercise which tells me that something has opened up. I feel better during the day but worst when I get up in the morning and feel better when I pull my ears about. It might be something pretty simple but it drives my crazy. My doctor has refused to refer me to ENT specialist as he feels that this is nothing.........

Could it be from high blood pressure? I was just diagnosed with high BP and the ear pressure had been going on for several months. I'm taking a lose dosage BP med, and it hasn't come down very much, so will see dr to have it increased. I'll ask him if the BP could be causing the ear pressure.

Yes, my left ear has pressure. It comes and goes! It has been happening for days on and off and usually lasted for like 30 minutes, but i tryed unplugging my left ear by sniffling and yawning at the same time, but that just makes it worse! it is very annoying. I hear a low ringing noise and it goes on and off like beep beep beep beep beep.So annoying! this has lasted for 3 hours so far and we went to the doctor just like 2 days ago and i thought it was a ear infection. But the doctor said my ears looked totally fine.i just got over a cold. when my cold was over, the very next day i woke up with a 103.1 fever! That fever lasted only about 10 hours though, now i have a minor lowgrade fever, but i feel totally fine! is there a like way i should sleep so the mucus or whatever is causing this pressure and ringing in my left ear will drain out? Or is there like a ear drop so it can drain out? please help! thank you!

The thing that stinks is we were gonna go up to ski in the mountains because we got a new storm in Big Bear. It brought almost one and a half feet of fresh snow, but now we cannot go because of my pressure in my ear. It would get worse if we went though.JEEZ the constant ringing sound!Im sure i'll be better though in a few days,i feel bad for the unfortunate one who have had this for months! I forget about the pressure in my ear mostly but the constant ringing is SO ANNOYING!!!!!!!!!!!!

I currently have a similar problem, I don't know if it's the same or not. I've never been to a doctor as I've just been hoping it goes away, although it's been at least a year now that I've had it. I don't always feel the symptoms, it comes and goes. My left ear just suddenly gets full of pressure, and I have to pull on my earlobe to get it to stop. If I let go of my ear, the pressure continues. It's driving me insane. It seems like it gets triggered or gets worse when I put my earbuds in to listen to music. It doesn't always happen, and for the most part it's unpredictable. Last night I was up half the night pulling on my ear to try and get the pressure to go away so I could sleep. Even when it isn't acting up, I can't sleep with that ear on the pillow for fear that it'll start up again. It almost feels like my ear is underwater, but much worse. It blocks my hearing when it happens, and I can hear the blood in my ear rushing. This morning I 'fixed' it in the shower by letting water into the ear and then pouring it all out again, after which I toweled it off, and that seemed to do the trick. I'm not sure why, but it did. If anyone knows what's going on, I'd be grateful!

I first experienced very much the same symptoms five years - ago after a minor cold. Tried the usual stuff prescribed by the doctor - anti-histamines and steroids. In the end went to an ENT who got a CT scan done and said it showed nothing and it is best to leave things along. It improved slightly, though never went completely, and I lived with it until last Autumn when I got the same thing after a cold. Beconase and antibiotics helped a bit before I picked up another infection in February this year and ended up with the same ear pressure/blockage feeling which actually improved until this week when it got much worse. I have been prescribed a steroid by the doctor...if that doesn't to the trick then it will be back to the ENT (but, in the end, he did nothing five years ago). Most of all I find this very tiring and would love to find something that worked. I do the Valsava (?) manoeuvre many times a day (get a popping but no real clearance), have tried the ear popper to get air into the middle ear (doesn't seem to make a difference). I tried sinus cleansing with a saline solution but that didn't work. Might be that this steroid will work, but I am doubtful.

My husband just had a tube put in his ear after dealing with ringing in his ears for almost two months. They thought it was a sinus infection and tried a Z-Pack which did not do anything. Our family doctor told him that it would take months to heal and that he would just have to live. Told him to chew gum and that should help. I finally made an appt with an ENT on my own for him without a referral and they put in a tube the same day. I would ask if tubes could help at all.

So I am 33 years old and I have experienced everything written in all these posts Since I was 13. 1 thing i can say for sure is that it doesn't just go away. I went to many doctors about it and finally found an ENT who didn't think I was crazy. I took an audio test and they determined there was clear hearing loss....not a lot but some. The dr put tubes in my ears thinking this would help. At first he put in 1 month tubes and they worked like a dream. After they fell out I went back and he put tin 1 year tubes. These worked great for about 3 months and then the popping came back. My symptoms are as follows.
constant popping under any circumstance
the ability to actually hear and feel air going in and out of my ears.
crazy sensitive to noises. I hear things others don't, often at night I can hear music that is not playing. Sounds are random as to weather I hear them or not. The tv needs to be very high, yet the speaker on my phone needs to be low.
when I pop my neck or chest I can hear every little crack.
I can cause the popping to happen at anytime by yawning, flexing my jaw, and because I have had it so long...I have figured out how to work the muscles to do it.
cracking sounds when I swallow, and hearing every little sound in my month.
after reading all of these posts I am going to go back to my doctors and tell them about this and see what comes. It have been looking as you can see for a long time for an answer.
