Hello: I am in the same boat. I exercise like a fiend and eat right, but my stomach constantly sticks out like I'm pregnant. A few things have helped, although let me preface this by saying they haven't eliminated the problem. But some people may find relief of their symptoms by trying these things: 1) Eliminate wheat from your diet and go gluten-free. It seems that the strain of wheat being produced right now in no way resembles the wheat of our elders - it has been so genetically modified that our bodies can't process it. 2) Eliminate caffeine. It tends to extend the belly. 3) Do a colon cleanse. There are many ways to do this. The psyllium husk and blackstrap molasses in warm water cleanse seemed to work well for me.

Hi

I understand how u all feeling im the same had it for years, never been over size 8 even after having 2 kids but suffer bad from this looking like nine months pregnant sometimes bigger than i was actually pregnant. this over the years has made me paranoid about putting on weight as every time i get bout of this i feel fat n frumpy and it pulls me down. i go to the gym and try keep myself fit but nothing works. it disappeared for a while both times after having children but then came back both times about 8 months later. i cant stand it. i know they say its ibs although no medication works like you all say so if any of you get a result with it please put on here so we all can give it a go.

Have you checked into the possibility ofhaving a "parasitic infection'? Lymes disease also causes this due to an overgrowth of candida. Try an infectious disease dr...

It sounds like gastroparesis - I've had this problem for over 10 years. Look up Gastroparesis -
I've had every test possible. That was my diagnosis.

I think candida is the culprit in 99% of the cases I'v read. I believe it is my problem as well. I am a male 49 with all of the symptoms described in this thread. CANDIDA

I think your approach here to fine a common denominator is a good one. Eventhough women may have these symptoms more than men. It might help to know that I am male 49 experiencing the same problem for the last 10 plus years. I think a trigger for me was my devorce. I internalized my stress and I think it manifested itself with this condition. With all of the things you were able to illiminate like dairy, wheat/gluten, soy alcohol etc. as being the culprit most of which I eliminated except for the birth control/feminine type stuff. Stress seems to cross both genders.
