If you do a search on masturbation for guys you will find lots of information on it there is lots written about it tons of pictures and videos so whatever you are comfortable with will provide you with some ideas.
If you have a good friend that you can talk openly about that sort of thing you could ask him what works well.
Basically it is doing what feels good and you enjoy as far looking at anything not really necessary the right touch will work fine but if you feel you need to look at pictures just look at whatever it is that excites you.
Also just because your friends are doing it don’t feel like you should be as well. It is perfectly normal to masturbate and it won’t hurt you in anyway but nothing wrong with waiting until you’re comfortable with doing it.
