HI. I’ve had car accident recently. I had an concussion and few broken ribs and bones… I’ve been treated in the hospital and now I’m on physical therapy. But, even though I was not immobile for a long time (only two weeks) it is hard for me to do certain things requiring hand – aye or other coordination. I’ve asked around about it and some say that I could be having myelopathy... What is it and is it possible I have it? Thanks.

Well, myelopathy is a term that tells there is something wrong with the spinal cord. It is common in elderly ages, is most commonly caused by spinal stenosis (progressive narrowing of the spinal canal). Therefore, I don’t think that is the problem you have – you probably need more time to fully recover, especially because you had concussion… Your brain will probably need some time to completely recover and function properly.. That is why you’re having physical therapy!!
