What is the difference between a Czar and a Tsar?
These words are interchanged all the time in crosswords but the definitions are the same with no explination as to the different spellings.
Help a nerd out will ya?
No difference other than derivation. Tsar comes from Russian, czar from Latin. Both mean the same thing.

well, it's short for "Ceasar"
that's where they got it from. According to my college history professor. I took History of Russia in college. Fascinating class.
