I went to a colon/rectal specialist a couple months ago who diagnosed me with stage II internal prolapsed hemorrhoids with no pain. He gave me some suppositories which seemed to help slightly. He felt they would go away with the suppositories.
But earlier today I had a bout of diarreha and this time I had one pop out that wouldn't go back in. Normally they "deflate" within an hour or with a bath. This is the first time I've ever had any pain. I read on the internet that internal ones need to be pushed back in or they will have the blood supply cut off. So I took a bath and tried it. I was carefully able to get it back in and I took another suppository.
I am still having pain but it's not bad and no blood. More like being sore. I am very concerned what will happen at this stage and if it will stop hurting or get worse. I do not have insurance because I just started a new job last month. I won't have insurance until Feb and there is no way I could take off time for any surgeries. The stories on here are pretty scary!
I just wondered if anyone had any advise? At stage 3, is it fixable on it's own? I was hoping it would stop aching if I got it back inside but it's been a couple hours and doesn't feel much different.
Oh no, I just went to the bathroom to check on things since I was still feeling sore and it's out again. How can they progress so rapidly? I don't know what to do at this point. :(
i had the banding about two weeks ago....but shouldn't have because mine were really state 3-4. So it woke everything up and ended up in emergency surgery for full blown hemorrhoidectomy. it does progress fast. Mine did. I was able to keep under control with the steroid suppository....but my life the last couple months has been hell. I've read a lot of threads about how bad surgery is. Well mine where about the worse the doc had ever seen and was in hospital for two nights post op. my surgery was 12/10. Since ive cleaned house twice, went out to eat, went Xmas shopping.....in fact I was out smoking at the hospital the first night. I guess I should add that I've had 4 c sections and gall bladder surgery....so I'm use to surgery. But I would do it again. Pain meds, ibuprofen, and numbing butt cream takes care off ya. You will need panty liners, fiber stuff, and able to get in a hot bath after bm's. but you are describing how my latest extreme hemorrhoid episode started....it doesn't get better. If you are still at a 2 go get banded or inferred treatment. But don't fear the surgery. Oh I also was prescribed valuim for the spasms but you only need it a couple days.
Thank you!
It seems to have quieted down. Once I got it to finallyt stayt inside, it was fine after that. I have no doubt I will end up doing the surgery at some point. Because it's really awful trying to live this way. I can't control it very well because I flucuate between constipation and diahhrea no matter what I eat. Miralax keeps the constipation under control, but I have no control over the other. And that seems to really aggrivate it.
I am just hoping that #1 I can wait until my insurance hooks up in Feb and #2 I can hold out a bit longer. I literally just started a new job so it's kind of hard to have to ask for time off for butt surgery! lol I'm not even sure how to approach that one.
I guess if it worsens there won't be much I can do about it. Hopefully I will recover fast. I did from my C-section as well. But I will be prepared if not.
See who does inferred coagulation in Ur area. There is no down time and does not cost that much.
