Not true. You may just have a bad doctor that doesn't listen to his pharmacist. Trust me bad doctors exist..in large amounts.

I'm not sure why some people are quick to judge or try to get people to start or stop new medications...they are not doctors! As for the weed, it could be intensifying the weed is strictly non-addictive. You can become addicted to the euphoria you feel when you smoke. But drugs like heroine and crack are physically addictive because it replaces out original chemicals in our brains to become themselves. Weed doesn't do anything like that.It is actually said that weed can help save brain cells that are dying from a car accident brain injury, concussion, severe pain everyday, etc. So, weed it mentally addicting, not physically. No where near physical. Weed is organic and is safe to take with any medication. The only reaction your body could have is an increase in the side effects of the existing drugs.

My fiance' has to take 1 Oxycodone and 2 Norcos to relieve his pain. He is supposed to only take 4 Norcos a day and 2 Oxycodone and since he has increased his Marijuana smoking (he is physically disabled from chronic pain in his back, neck, Getting Total Knee Replacement July 20, 2012, all his joints from arthritis, and headaches) he has the urgency to take the dosage more frequently. IE: every 3 to 4 hours. Instead of every 6 for 1 Norco and every 12 for the Oxycodone. You can't tell me that ANY strain of Marijuana doesn't affect the pain medication in the pleasure sensor in the brain. For most people this much medication for so many years builds a tolerance to have to take more and more to get the same affect. Don't you all think that Marijuana would send an inhibitor to the pleasure sensor to over ride the pain medication from doing it's job? I don't have a problem with someone doing this to self medicate for medical purposes but if you all are using to just get high to get away from the world I am sorry that you feel that way. I am taking Psychology and having to learn all that I can about drug interactions, (pain pills, abused or not). They may have negative affects with Marijuana. As a consumer of Marijuana, has anyone really found out if there is a true interaction, negative or positive, with different prescription medications? I do not Smoke, Mary Jane or Cancer Sticks, drink alcohol, or do any drugs of any kind. The most I have taken is Tylenol. I have tried both smokes ONCE and did not like it at all. I drank one glass of alcohol, GROSS! These people need to re-examine if smoking Marijuana and taking prescription medications at the same time may be like drinking alcohol with those same medications. They both are mind altering and should be done so with caution.

I take antidepressants and anti-anxiety medication and it will f**k you up when smoking weed. I was an avid smoker before i stared taking medication and I was fine before, but now I can't smoke cause it's uncomfortable; I'm not in control of what happens in my mind or my body and it's scary. I have no time or depth perception and I can't think about one thing for more than a few seconds. It takes all of my energy to say anything and stay awake.

You actually cant mix weed safely with any drug all the time. My dad has an organ transplant and can take weed...but only if he injests it. He cant smoke it as the smoke with one of his anti-rejection meds causes pneumonia. So yeah... he can take it but he wont risk getting sick. And this came from his oncologist who is pro med weed

"wow buddy" you sound like an id**t. Don't know if you have any idea what you are talking about. Seroquel can be used for sleep, anxiety, depression and panic disorder. It's not for crazy people so I suggest you get your facts straight. And secondly who are you to pass judgment on anybody? Grow up or shut up

The last post was 100% correct on everything they said on their post, and the laws in most of the USA are messed up,especially in Florida ,where the laws on marijuana are the same as they are for cocaine, and it's wrong because there are some really good people spending alot of their lives in jails, and even some in prisons for a frigging plant that causes a whole lot less problems than alcohol causes.Marijuana causes absolutely no health problems for people that vaporize it,and people that smoke marijuana actually are less likely to develop lung cancer than people that smoke nothing at all

Marijuana is still a drug and different people can react differently to different drugs being mixed. I know lots and lots of people who have mixed pills with weed and it hasn't turned out good, including myself. People need to be careful with mixing drugs period. Marijuana isn't harmful by itself I agree but it can still react to different drugs.

Marijuana generally has a universal impact on the effect of other drugs, being that it will dull down the come-up, intensify the peak, and bring the high back during the comedown. While these effects are generally all psychological, there have been instances that show that they can also attest to the toxicity of the substances as well. For example, if someone is abusing a drug to the point that they linger on the verge of an overdose, smoking marijuana may be enough to set them over the edge during their peak, but there is no substantial evidence to prove that is the case. Regardless, the case and point is that if this woman is not using these anti-depressants in near dangerous quantities to begin with, there should be no real danger present.

On another note, concerning stimulants the case can sometimes be different as mixing "uppers" with "downers" can lead to heart related complications ranging anywhere from increased heart rate and palpitations to heart attacks in individuals with already present heart problems. Also weed is da bomb

dude, i've smoked for four years everyday three times a day (give or take days i couldnt find it or weeks i took breaks) but it gives me anxiety attacks when i smoke it. and now, if i smoke it before i go to bed, my heart beats outrageously funny and makes me feel like im about too die. There's lots of bad stuff about weed too man. it's NOT healthy for your lungs it's just not as bad as stoagadactyls and if you smoke both your chance for lung cancer triples or something like that. mixing it with large amounts of alchohol or opiates have stopped my heart (I had no pulse (not even a weak ass one) and was feeling weaker and weaker by the second and eventually ran in place and hyperventilated until my pulse came back) and i was close to losing consciousness. so yeah mixing weed with other sh*t can be very dangerous. it lowers your blood pressure and speeds up your heart, anything that messes with your blood pressure or heart could have negative effects on a person

I have had major panic/anxiety attacks while on weed only. I am wanting to try a nonaddictive anti-anxiety medicine like citalopram to calm down those panic attacks. Does this seem logical? Thank you, I appreciate all answers.
