I have the same thing and had urinalysis done a couple years ago, and my doctor told me that I had something wrong with my kidneys. I later found out from one of my mother's acquaintances that this is something very common and completely harmless in women in their mid to late teens and older. Thanks a lot, doc.

Every morning I see white stuff in my urine. Can I solve this problem by drinking a lot of water?

I have clogged arteries and now take a lot of natural supplements to try to clean them out. I now have a lot of white deposits and white particles in my urine. Why is that?

Thank you for posting this! I also noticed there were white flakes in my urine and have had urethral stinging that happens either randomly or when my bladder fills up. It has been such a rollercoaster. One dipstick test appeared positive (blood in urine and white T-cells) however, I started my period like an hour after the appointment -.-
A urine culture was negative (however I urinated 20 minutes before the test so the sample was pretty much water and I wondered if that affected anything)
And a second dipstick test was negative.

However, besides the stinging on and off, I noticed my urethra has shrunk and doesn't function the same as far as how it looks and when it gets erect, sorry if tmi and I get bladder pain and sometimes small stabbing pains in my side and back (which makes me think kidney infection) however I've also had really sore muscles.

I was super concerned it was Urethritis (which one of the side effects is ironically white flakes in your urine), which is not picked up by dipstick or routine cultures. However, it's been tough getting in with a Urologist and I have been concerned since the Urogynecologist I saw dismissed the idea of Urethritis and they do not test for it there that I am not sure the Urologist will take me from her referral if she does give me one.

Also concerned for a false negative urethritis test and don't want to take antibiotics if I don't have an infection because I have had some scary experiences with them.

Word of caution - Please reconsider taking any kind of fluoroquinolone antibiotics (Ciproflaxin, Levafloxicin and the other) unless there are not other antibiotic choices for you to choose. They have a blackbox label and are the only antibiotics that have that label because they can cause "debilitating, irreversible, life-long conditions".

I experienced the side effects and am fortunate they are going away due to diet change to counter the side effects and are not as bad as some whom have become debilitated from the antibiotic (you can look it up, there's a whole community of people whose lives have been affected by these class of antibiotics). If you need it, please take it, but if your infection is not severe and your doctor doesn't feel you absolutely need it, ask for a different antibiotic.

Didn't mean to go on my soap box there, but had to throw that out there - so important.

Anyway, it's just been a wild roller coaster, fearing its an infection, but tests are negative, while in the back of my mind praying its not Urethritis that just hasn't gotten picked up by the tests.

So thanks for posting. It put my mind at ease to see white flakes can be due to other things - perhaps it is due to the hypoglycemia.

I wish you all the best on your healing journey!
