I am 35 and have had the IUD for 5 years. My fiance and I have decided to try for a baby. I removed the IUD in November 2009. We have been having intercourse reguarly since then but this week has been different. Monday morning we had intercourse and I started to bleed. I thought it was my period so I put in a tampon and went to work. A couple of hours later I went to change and nothing. It went on like this the rest of the day and next. Wednesday morning again, we tried and same thing again. Saturday we tried again and same thing. I am worried. I am going to call my doctors office on Monday but wanted to know if anyone has any feed back or any questions I need to ask her?

it sounds like you are spotting that might be a side effect from the iud or from having it removed butr the fact you are having sex might cause some bleeding because you just had something tooken out but if i were you i would try to wait till you are fully recovered from the birthcontrol to try to get pregnant cause you would want to keep your baby safe while you are carrying it
