I've been getting alot lately when I run. I just had labs done a month ago and everything is fine (no anemia). Is this common with allergies??? I used to get them everyday as a child until I got tonsils and adenoids out. Then I only seem to get them when I drank too much.

Maybe I should stop picking my boogers so much.
How much bleeding is involved? My wife has pretty bad seasonal allergies and she pretty much gets a bloody nose almost every day durning the season. they are not bad (i.e. not gushing out) but they are noticable.

yep.....just enough to be annoying. I was thinking allergies....but I didn't have problems last summer.

are you taking a lot of aspirin? aspirin based products? Aspirin thins the blood. Try drinking/taking more vitamin C - will help clot your blood and hopefully stop/reduce your noosebleeds

Your nose is drying out--could be allergies or very dry weather--isn't it still kind of cold and dry up there?

Could be your nose dried out enough that the blood vessels near the surface broke through, and just haven't recovered yet. Try putting a little dab of vaseline in your nose--it feels kind of weird and sort of smells but it should work.

I just read this thread just yesterday and this morning I woke up with a nosebleed. :(

I also get nosebleeds. They used to be 2+ per month, but now tend to be about 1 every other month. As I was taking care of the one today, I remembered a few things that cause mine.

1) Not washing my pillow cases
2) Allegeries
3) Getting kicked in the nose (happened once on accident at school)
4) Excitement
5) Mad Mushroom Pizzas (a local pizza chain)
6) Electric Tooth Brushes
