why am i still bleeding after 10 weeks after a abortion?

Hi. I too am still bleeding after 10 weeks. My Doctor has done swabs and felt around and found I have an infection and an enlared womb. You NEED to go and see a different Doctor, if possible. I'm having a scan as she's worried there's retained tissue and fibre. Please see someone! I've had anti-biotics but not worked.

Hi I was about 10 weeks pregnant and i had a surgical abortion about 2 weeks ago. After the abortion i had very little pain that lasted only the day of the abortion, i did however start bledding only the monday and my abortion had been done the saturday, now its 2 weeks and 2 days after the abortion and i am still bleeding, the bleeding is not heavy, but its not spotting aswell, Is this normal?

I am in the same situation. Procedure done March 20th. (7 weeks at time of procedure) Seemed normal up until about week 3 when things should have been slowing down instead starting to bleed heavier and lots of clots. This lasted about 10 day then I stopped for about 3 days. Then extreme cramping felt like I was getting my period and bleeding started again. Was like a normal period net never stopped and after 10 days has gotten heavier and clotting again. So I am nearing 8 weeks since procedure and have been bleeding all except about 3-5 days. Help please! ?.... Any suggested herbs?

Hi I had a medical abortion March 2nd bled for about 1 weeks , then nothing for 4 weeks then had normal period then nothing for few days then bleeding for bout 2 weeks now, like a dark brown colour and pains in lower stomach, I'm going the doctors today, after reading this I'm not worrying so much now, just go to your doctors , I'll let you no what my doctor says xxxx

Glad i read all these comments. I had a medical abortion in january and have been bleeding on and off since, i had period pains once which was last week and they were really sore, worse than what they were before. I did get the depo jag before i left the hosp in january but decided not to have it again as i felt bloated and sick all the time. I have no idea if this was because of what i went through and it was in my head! I have been to scared to have sex because obviously i have no protection and my bf had been an absolute gem! Lol so im going straight to the docs on wednesday next week to ask what they can do! Thanks!

Halo i had an abortion on 24th may and its 6 weeks down the road and i am still bleeding.
Could this be normal?Really getting tired of padding my self.

Hey ladies this is very uncomfortable. But its true wht u sayin. We not being punished. Im experiencing it nw. But i knw tht this bleeding will eventually go away. I was 6weeks when i had arbotion, but nw its the 7th week since i hv bn bleeding.Cnt afford to go to the right doctors. But at the clinic they told me tht im gonna be js fine in time.tnx for the wise words.... They give me hope.

Im exactly the same, its really grinding me down, i cant stay out too long for risk of leaking onto my trousers which has happened before as i get that heavy. Im definatly going to the doctors. Im fed up :( x

Hi i had my abortion 9 weeks ago now an ive had 2 lots of tablets last week the doctor put me on tablets cuz i couldnt take no more ive bin 2 the hospital as there was times i cudnt move off the toilet cuz of the bleeding but now im back 2 bleeding n the pain is back stronger im so scared i have 4 kids already an i just cant no more as most days i cant move with the pain im in

My abortion was 2 years ago and I haven't stopped bleeding since then. It's minor spotting, but I need tampons or pads every day. Shortly after I got on every type of pill and when none of them helped with the bleeding I tried depo for many months. Not once was I offered any tablets to help and was consistently reassured that it should go away soon. It was stupid of me to believe them after all this time, but now that I've been off all birth control for 2 weeks, I'm still bleeding. Those tablets are now at the top of my to-do list
