I also heard that there might be some further complications because of this condition. Is that true? Why does galactosemia cause hemolysis?
Well, I have to admit that I haven't heard of hemolysis as one of the possible complications, although it is quite possible. I know that there might be some serious issues with ovaries, bone density might be disturbed, and there might be some speech problems. And of course, a diet has to be applied all the time.
