 I have been on cytomel and synthroid for a year now. I have been taking synthroid all of my life and now I have an inactive thyroid gland. For three years the doctors had me on only synthroid and chalked up my abnormal depression and mood swings to being bipolar which I am not. I was taking Lexapro and another antidepressant with this. Now my Dr. has me on both the T3 and T4 medications and they dont seem to be helping me all that much. What is the best prescription combination for a 26 year old woman at 120 pounds and 4 feet 11 inches that will help me lose weight and fell normal again?

I can't help you with your drugs, but to be honest 120lbs is not a lot for a 26 year old.

Having inactive thyroid is hard, that I can understand, but you should also know that those antidepressants could have influenced on some of the weight gain.

I hope you do manage to regulate your hormones and I am very sorry you have to go through such problems at such early age.
