Ok i'm 16 and sexually active. I have been from the age of 13 but i've only slept with one guy. And for a few months now i've noticed after sex i get an unpleasant smell for possibly a week and then it goes away. I now havent had sex in two months because i'm scared and it seems to be getting worse..sometimes i get a smell..i describe it as sometimes an strong odour other times a chloriny smell :s and if i don't get that i get a white discarge down below and sometimes a jelly clear/white discharge. Is this most likely to be a sti or a bacterial infection? I've heard douching is not good? and well i do that to make sure i'm clean and i do that possibly three times a week or more during my period. Can BV be what i've got?

It could very well be bacterial vaginosis or thrush. You need to go to a doctor to get the correct treatment. Douching is unnecessary, it actually does more harm than good as it disrupts the acid balance in your vagina and allows infections to grow. Your vagina can keep itself clean without douching

I agree totally with the above post and I want to add....
Why are you having sex at such an early age???????
Moving on....don't douch! Your vagina cleans itself out with the discharge, this is what it's doing now...there is something foreign in there that it wants out!

Now it could be a number of things....BV.....thrush (usually itches a lot too)..Chlamydia or some other STD!!!!!

Get an STD test as these things if bacterial canbe cleared up with tablets before they get worse..and they do, believe me, if you don't treat them.

Start wearing condoms if you don't already to protect form further STD'S, you never know what the other person is doing or has....remember that!

Best Wishes
