I got my wisdom teeth removed (all 4), on thursday over spring break, as my dentist said I "needed" to.
During my operation, they had to break out my bottom teeth, and I was awake the entire time, and it hurt, so I started to yell and cry (I'm 17.) and my dentist told me to "Hush" because there was a little girl next door and i would "scare her". My boyfriend and my mom came with me to do the procedure, and my boyfriend was already in the room as this was happening, but when my mom tried to come in, they said that she was the reason I was freaking out- which wasn't the cause, I was in pain.
After the surgery, I went home, and swelled up as normal. They never gave me my antibiotics, or the syringe to clean out my sockets as the papers said they were suppose to do. They didn't tell me what I could and couldn't eat, and prescribed me Loratab, and Ibuprofen.
I started getting a pain on my left side, after swelling went down, and my back teeth were rising up because my gums were swollen on that side, and now my back molar is loose on the side in pain. It was an intense pain, and I went back to the dentist a few days before my one week check up. My woman dentist, (not the man who did my teeth) just sprayed my stitches and holes, and gave me Amoxicillon and "a mild steroid" to help with the healing. I've taken my antibiotics (amoxocillion) every day since, three times a day, but my mom told me to stop taking my steroid because it was breaking down my immune system, and my immune system is already bad as it is, since I don't take vitamins like I'm told.
I feel like I'm being jipped. My mouth is in pain, but not as bad. I have trouble sleeping and have developed a UTI due to the vast amounts of medication I've been prescribed, and having some stomach pains. I'm tired of being given meds, and told I'll be fine. I set up an appointment with another dentist this Saturday, but what can I do for the pain until then? I'm on my last Ibuprofen.
Thank you x-
