To start off with, I am 45 years old, for over a year now I have had sporadic periods. The last one which was about the beginning of July was the worst one ever in my life. Shortly after I had gotten sick after lunch, I felt that I had a yeast infection as well, so grabbed some monistat, cranberry pills and some left over antibiotics. Couple weeks later symptoms got worse, including morning incontinence. So now I figured it was a bladder/kidney infection and I had self-treated incorrectly. Went to the doctor, he said that I was too young for sporadic periods, that my symptoms were concerning to something bigger because my urine test showed no infection. He took blood to test my cell count and for diabetes (although my blood sugar was fine when I checked it couple days beforehand) and prescribed me cipro just to try and help. He instructed me to see a gyno as soon as possible and to come back to him if the incontinence continues after taking the cipro. I have a gyno appointment later this week. My symptoms include fullness like bloating, bloody discharge (although I am now on my period now) pain when urinating (sometimes not all the time), some pain in my girly parts, pain in my lower back, when I wake up I can only walk a couple feet before the pressure is too much and I have incontinence. During the day I just make sure I go if I feel any pressure at all. I have not noticed any fever during all of this. I do feel like I just want to go to bed and stay there all day, but continue with all I have to do regardless. Although this is not as bad as before it is all still very much there. Question is how much should I be concerned or worried or if anyone has any thoughts on this as I have no one to really talk to.
Oh and i have not been sexually active for at least a year.
