i am 12 and i first got my period when i was 11. It was a regular period but then 3 months ago i got it twice a month. Then later, it stopped. I didn't get my period for 3 months but i am not pregnant because im still a virgin. Yesterday, i got a brown discharge mixed with red blood and thought it was my period but today, it was very light and had no sign of red blood. What is this?
I've been having that happen since I was 13 (I'm 24 now), but when I went to the gynecologist, he told me sometimes women can have irregular periods and then prescribed me birth control pills to regulate it. Although, I couldn't take the birth control, because it makes me too sick. Anyway, you're still young, so it could take awhile for your periods to start regulating themselves. Sometimes teenagers have irregular periods, but if they don't start being regular by the time you're 18, it's always good to go see a doctor about it.
