Hi! I'm 18 years old and have been on 2 different forms of birth control. currently i am on desergen and have been on it for about 5 months. this past weekend my boyfriend and i had sex and he pulled out a little late. Also, i had taken two of my pills 30 minutes later than normal. i was worried and called planned parenthood. the woman i spoke with told me that i should have nothing to worry about. today, about 9 days before my period, i noticed a brown discharge.. what could this possibly mean? i just had my annual pap smear and exam about one and a half months ago!
If you forget to take just one pill and took it together with the second one (if I understood correctly), ovulation shouldn’t have occurred.

Although the timing of your spotting could match the time implantation usually takes place, it doesn’t have to mean anything. It could be just breakthrough bleeding because you had two pills.

Although it is said that pills should be taken at the same time each day, this actually means that you can take the pill 3 hours within that time.

In my opinion, you shouldn’t have gotten pregnant but you can never be 100% sure. Unfortunately, the only thing you can do is wait for your period and if late, do a home pregnancy test. The day when you period was supposed to come (or a day after) is the best day to do a pregnancy test. Good luck!
