Our subconscious mind tells us that moving on is the best thing to do after experiencing a miscarriage but no one mentions exactly how to go about this process. This article will help explain some steps to take which can help.

Relationships

In nearly all life events, the idiom "every cloud has a silver lining" rings true. Experiencing a miscarriage can also have a silver lining even though it may sound odd.

A traumatic event nearly always leads to some realizations in life, such as who your true friends are that will offer their help and support and who are better left by the wayside. A miscarriage, especially, is an event which can test your relationship with your partner and may offer clarity and further understanding into whether this relationship can last or not.

Discovering an unknown medical condition

A miscarriage may have been caused by a medical condition you were never even aware of. This scenario has then exposed the fact that a medical condition exists which may have caused life threatening issues later on in life.

By being properly diagnosed, you can then have this medical condition dealt with appropriately with the correct treatment protocols.

Unresolved emotional issues

Old emotions may be released during this time and you can use the opportunity to get closure on some unresolved events which you may have suppressed for a long period of time.

In doing so, you give yourself the opportunity to not only finally close the chapter on these unresolved issues, but to use this process to find closure on what you're experiencing with the miscarriage. This helps to avoid the situation from becoming an unresolved issue which may bring about emotional problems in the future. Try to use this situation to grow as a person.

Faith

Whatever your religious inclination is, even if you don't believe in a higher power, this experience can be used to strengthen your faith in whoever/whatever you believe in to offer you strength and support. Use the opportunity to strengthen this bond and to improve yourself.

Timing

It may also be the situation that the timing of the pregnancy may not have been conducive for the expectant mother. This may sound like a selfish sentiment, but there are times when a pregnancy may occur at a very busy time in someone's life where they may not have been planning for a child yet.

In a situation where the pregnancy was planned, one can take solace in the fact that they can get pregnant. The reason then for the miscarriage could be due to a poor quality embryo or egg, which occurs quite often when one reads the mentioned statistics at the beginning of the article.

Knowing where to research

The internet is a wonderful place to look for information on many aspects. The most commonly researched topics are medical conditions since many people hope to try and get to their diagnosis so that they can manage the problem themselves. Most acute medical issues are self-limiting and thus resolve on their own, but there are issues which can be treated symptomatically and can be well managed with over-the-counter and natural remedies.

The internet can also be a massive hole filled with rubbish which just confuses a person. Any medical site that ends with .gov or .org is reputable enough to refer to when looking up a possible or how to manage certain symptoms.

Your house doctor should also be someone that you can refer to when you have any medical queries. Any self-respecting physician would gladly offer the correct advice to their patients. In a situation such as a miscarriage, you should be given the right information regarding medication for pain, rest and relaxation and advice as mentioned in this article.
