Hello I am really worried about my grandson. His upper thighs are really swollen to the point that they are hard as a rock and there are stretch marks all over his thighs. His penis is no longer out also its retracted back into his groin area. What can be causing this.

How long does this condition last? And does he have fever? Does he feel any pain?
Something similar has happen to my nephew and it was something about his abdominal muscles although doctors were considering hernia as well.
But the best thing you can do is to check with your pediatrician. How the boy’s parents feel about this? Are they worried as well and aware of the whole situation?
And if your pediatrician is ignoring obvious signs that something is wrong than seek second opinion.
