I'm a 14 year old boy and I've recently started lifting weights I'm comfortable with and can do well. I'm 5 foot four and 8 stone. I'm sure I'm using the right technique and not doing excercises that strain my back. Will this stunt my growth at all?

Moderate weight lifting shouldn't be a problem. It's not just the back you need to watch, it is any bone at your age. Until the growth plate locks, you risk damage by overloading. So, lift with moderation.
