Hi,
I was wondering if someone can help me:-D.
I'm 16, not over weight and have both raynaud's(primary) and joint hypermobility.
At the start of July I had a sore throat and couldn't swallow as well as a swollen lymph node under my jaw (it's still swollen although the pain has ended) this lasted for two weeks with a runny nose.
Today, I went into the bathroom to brush my teeth (I already had breakfast) and all of a sudden I felt extremely warm - like a hot flash- and got this nausea feeling mainly in my stomach but this felt like it was all over my body. So I went to sit down in my room with a glass of water -by this time one of my legs was shaking- this feeling went away in about a minute. Straight after I went back to brush my teeth but I got the same warmth feeling but this time I experienced a painful palpitation-just the one- but after a cold shower I was fine.
I know this is not a panic attack as I've had one before and my blood pressure isn't high as the optician checked for signs in the photos of my eye as last year I had BP of 179/90-but I did have a class test that day- my BP was tested again and it was normal. If it helps, I've not been sleeping well, normally going to bed at 10pm and tossing and turning until 2/3am the next morning and getting up at 7am.
Thanksxdx
My first obvious answer was panic/anxiety which you feel its definatly not that, blood pressure thats good yesterday could go up or down the next, I get all hot if I have foods with vinegar similar to hot flush but just my reaction to the food. After a quick research online of this Raynauds it does list hot flushing and anxiety and shaking etc all as some symtoms associated to this disorder.Anyway best you go back to see the doctor and write down all of these symptoms you feel, could depend on what medication your on as well and any side effects. Sore joints and sore throat onset can also be a sign of wegners, and also could just be a normal everyday bad strep throat you need to gargle with salt water. Hope you feel better soon
