2 days late and have been told by doc that the positive may have been caused by a water infection?

Morning Everybody,

This is really starting to do my head in but I will pose the question..

Last Wednesday I was booked in for major facial surgery. I did a pregnancy test two days before...negative....so went in on the morning of surgery they asked if they could do another and not for one second thinking it would be positive agreed too another....strong positive....so just to be sure they did another urine test...again another strong positive...consequently my surgery was delayed whilst doing a blood test....negative....so they did another water and another blood and cancelled my surgery...these were also negative....so the following morning on doc's advice I did an early morning sample....also negative and every other day since the same...I am now 2 days late and have been told by doc that the positive may have been caused by a water infection????? although not a common thing to occur....just really interested to find out if anybody has had the same problem, lots of people seem to get false negatives but false positives even baffled the staff on the hospital ward??? x
