Hi...I had a serious ectopic pregnancy in may 2002 and had a 10 hour operation to remove it...I then 10 months later went on to have a healthy baby boy after being told it would take some time as I only had one tube but we did it in record time.....6 months later i had a second ectopic which took my last tube.......they say there is about 1cm left that they have left! Will I or could I get pregnant, bearing in mind i was very fertile before and have not yet used contraception with my husband and have not yet got pregnant? The only reason I am asking is I have seen people on other here and other websites who have got pregnant and dont want to get my hopes up!! many thanks for your help!!

Hi Karen! basically you had a tubal done and once in awhile the tubes reconnect! It is a VERY low percentage however! BUT it does happen! All you need is an egg and a blood source and you can still get pregnant! You don't need a womb, a tube or 2 ovaries even! Thus several women getting pregnant after a hysterectomy!!! BUT that is like 1 in a million honey! Have you checked into invitro?
