3 weeks ago sex was forced on me by a boy (unprotected) and it was very rough and painful. after when i tried to go pee there was a slight burning sensation and i felt like i had to strain and the pee would not come out. within 24 hours a mild constant itching sensation started. these symptoms come and go, there is never any real pain..
and i researched about this and heard about the sugarless cranberry juice, cranberry extract supplements and tried to find these in stores and unfortunately they do not normally carry these in normal grocery stores and drug stores/pharmacies in japan. i have to go really far to find some kind of internationalmarket with selection being limited and rather expensive.
i have tried squeezing fresh lemon juice into water and drinking it occassionally.
i went to an std testing centre and tested negative for every disease.
i went to a see a gynecologist and they took a urine sample and told me yes you have a uti.he prescribed me antibiotics without any questions about my medical history or anything.but i am have read a lot about the harms of antibiotics and am afraid to take them and wanted to ask what options i have. he was very rude from the beginning and didn't feel like listening or answering any questions at all. he just wanted to take my money and get me out the door. i was there for a total of 12 minutes. 8 minutes was waiting. they had an herbal alternative medicine but he said they didn't have any in stock at the moment and when i asked when would you have it in stock again? he said 'maybe tomorrow but i don't know if i wantto order it for you' i was shocked at his rude and cocky attitude and didn't know what to say. the reason why i am talking about this is cuz i do not have health insurance right now and i can't afford to keep paying doctors who don't feel like listening or answering questions and just want to throw antibiotics at you.
that was a week and a half ago.
so basically i didn't get medicine. the symptoms have been continuing and it's been 3 weeks now. i can't find the herbal medicine and i don't want to go back to that terrible doctor.
what i am afraid of is that if i take some medicine it will only help the infection for awhile but it will re-occur. this is my first uti and i don't want to ever get one again.
what should i do?
