Hi Everyone,
I'm 24 years old and I'm 48 hours post-op from an adenoidtonsillectomy. I'd never had surgery before so I was SUPER nervous. I've actually done pretty well overall. I got my tonsils out because of chronic infections and every time I'd get a cold I'd get tonsillities. So the pain so far post-op has felt pretty much like any other time I've gotten really sick. I've also been able to eat so far, I've had noodles, mac n cheese, tapioca pudding, popcicles and LOTS of water. So I've overall been doing ok. One odd thing is that my WHOLE body has been aching. I've been on Loratab (liquid vicadin) and was on Zofran for nausea because I was SO afraid of being nauseated. I've also been on Amoxicillan as a preventative. I had to fight the nurse to get the Zofran but it was worth it. Thats my story...so far, not to bad!
