I am 50 years old and am just wondering if I may be in the change,
Having had very regular periods 28 day cycles and bleeding for 5 days throughout my adulthood except when pregnant/breastfeeding my 5 children, I had one very heavy period in Jan this year so heavy a tampon plus pad was useless after 20 mins It lasted for 6 days then stopped suddenly.
Then Ive been as normal untill this month when I started with a day of very little loss, then normal for me for 5 days, but have had a very dark reddybrownish discharge (fairly heavy as a normal period would be) with stringy bits in it for almost two weeks now! with no sign of it stopping, is this normal for someone of my age or should I be concrned about it and see my GP?
hi umm im only 16 and obvioulsy i dont know anyhing about you but my friends mom was around your age and the same thing happnd to her and she went to the doctor and they told her it was her menapause and when her period dint stop for 6 weeks .. she went to a diff. doc. and he told her she was pregnant and now she has another 2 year old..
so i guess what im trying to say is that if you know theres no way you can be prego then you might be going thru menapause.. but i really dont know if that will help you at all
