Anyone know about the Gerson therapy? It saved my LIFE!! got that rubbish out my system in days. (The pill) then the patch almost killed me. Made me numb sometimes that I was scared to drive. I was stupid to use it. All I can say is gerson therapy juicing detoxing fasting is the way to heal. I did it it works! I'm fact in addicted to it. My husband loves it because instead of being miserable because of side effects ill do a detox and I'm high as a kite. You just have to know what you're doing!!!!! Very important! Hope this helps someone,,,

I've been on the Depo shot off and on for the past couple of years. My very first shot I bled for a month straight and then my period stopped completely. I have no periods as long I get my shot on time. Recently I've been experiencing really bad nausea and off and on abdominal pain. I've heard so many awful things about the Depo shot and I'm currently looking for another birth control option. I'm sorry your going thru this.

I took the shot from 2013-2015 and ever since I have had serious issues. It took a year to start my period back and I started going through depression and anxiety within these few years and just now in 2017 is my anxiety not so crazy! I had no sex life with messed with mine and my husbands sex life, and still to this day, we have issues because I'm not as loving as I was. Which before the shot, even during my first pregnancy, I was perfectly fine in that area. I get randomly nauseated with a headache that follows, most of the time during intercourse or any rapid shaking(roller coasters, running, etc.) I am now finding out that I may have endometriosis, and I have both side that the depo may help or make it worse.. but now that I'm on my second child, we can't run tests till after pregnancy. I had so many stomach issues and abdominal pain that my doctor did an episcopal surgery to see why I was nauseated, put me on different types of medications to help, did ultrasounds and cat scans to try to find out what was going on with me and still could not find out anything.. I still have a lot of the same issues I did while I was taking the shot and I've been off for 2 years. So thanks for all of your stories that has helped me cause I felt like I was the only one. And it has really done some harm in my life and relationship, and I'm only 24.

And agonising stomach cramps straight after eating, it's so bad I feel like I'm going to be sick every time I eat, my stomach gets so bloated I was very worried I was allergic to food, but after seeing some of the comments it's deco the depo I won't be going back for a second injection

Thank you for sharing. This is exactly what I'm experiencing. Last year I had a depo shot, been on for 5 years, got severe abdominal right pain after shot, lasted to this very day. MRI, CT scans and tons of scopes and tests later and the pain is still here. I had breakthrough bleeding 2 days in July and the pain stopped for those 2 days. Dr. Says it's a coincidence *lies*. I have been on several pain meds, prednisone, chemo and biologics for IBD and nothing stopped the pain. Just 2 days of bleeding was the only time in 16 months the pain stopped. I've decided not to get my depo today to see if it will affect the pain. Sex drive is non existent on this shot and intercourse is painful.

Wow, I have had this exact experience! I recently visited the ER this past Sunday due to terrible abdominal pain I was feeling. Astonishingly, my doctor discharged me saying that this pain is commonly felt by depo users. He suggested that I speak to my primary doctor. I am upset because I too was not informed of this abdominal pain I'd be feeling nor the change in my mood swings. I'm with you girl, this past month has been very challenging with the depression caused from the injection. Im very new to the depo shot, I started this past Dec of 2017 & I have my next injection scheduled for February and best believe I will not be going back..

I just had an epiphany! I started the depo sometime in late 2015. For the past 2 to 3 years I've been having severe upper stomach pain off and on. I remember the very first night it happened. It was an acute severe cramping/burning feeling in my upper stomach. I felt like I needed to vomit and have a BM all at the same time, but nothing would come out either end. I forced myself to vomit but it didn't relieve the pain. I found myself curled up on the bathroom floor in the fetal position. I had broken out into a cold sweat. It lasted for about 30 minutes. Then it went away and I felt perfectly fine! I thought maybe I had some type of food poisoning. I had eaten a piece of fried chicken, spaghetti, and a piece of chocolate cake that my sister got from a food bank. Lol don't judge me. So, I thought maybe the chicken wasn't done or maybe the cake was no good! But, I continued to have these episodes at least twice a month. They will last for 30 min to a hr and once it stopped I was completely fine. But, after a couple months I started to realize it only seemed to happen after I would eat. Especially after I ate anything with red sauce. Then I thought about the spaghetti I ate the night it first happened! So I cut red sauce completely out. So I didn't have any episodes for a couple of months once I did that. But, then it started to come back. I went to my physician to explain everything and she ordered me to have the barium swallow test done. They found nothing abnormal during this test. So, I was at a loss. So, I've just been dealing with this on and off for the past 3 years. Sometimes months will go by with me having no episodes and sometimes I'll have them 2 and 3 times in a month. Anyway I had my last depo shot in May 2017. I was due to get my very last shot in August 2017 because I didn't want to be on it for longer then 2 years as suggested by my OB/GYN. But I never went back in August to get that last shot. So, anyway like I said I haven't had a shot since May of last year and I had just only gotten my period again for the first time in Feb. 2018. Eight or nine months later. Smh. Its not a normal period though. It starts off as a dark brownish reddish discharge that comes and goes for the first two or three days. Then after that it turns into a heavy flow which last for another three or four days before it lightens up and stops completely. For a total of nine or ten days! I get so miserable and irritable because it lasts so long! But, this morning as I'm laying in bed I'm thinking how long does the affects of depo last after you stop getting the shots. Because I just want my period to be normal again, plus I'm having baby fever lol. But, anyway I thought the depo was awesome even though I bled for 90 days straight after my initial shot. Once that was over I didn't get my period anymore and had no side effects or so I thought! Until I came across that list of sides effects and noticed severe upper abdominal cramping as a side effect! Thats when I had the epiphany. I'd been dealing with this abdominal pain just as long as I'd been on the depo!!! Plus if the affects haven't worn off yet that could be why I'm still having these episodes from time to time! This month makes a full year since I had my last shot. I believe the affects of the depo aren't completely out of my system yet because my period is still irregular. So maybe once my period becomes regular I won't have to deal with the abdominal pain any longer. But, I'll def be monitoring it and talking to my physician about it asap.

Your not supposed to get injections in your stomach! Only in your arm or buttocks.
