I was 175 before I got Mirena (I was already struggling with my mental health). My "happy place" is around 150-160. I got it installed 04/2017. My body initially rejected it and I had to have it put back in on 11/2017. In that time, 185 became my new normal. (Worth it, I guess?)

Got serious about my health 04/2020. I was doing Insanity Max 30, taking all my vitamins, detoxing, cut alcohol, Metamucil, ALL THE WATER, health shakes

- THE W O R K S -

I couldn't get below 180-185 no matter what, and it was discouraging so I did some backsliding. I wanted it to be a solution to PCOS and painful cramps so bad that I didn't realize the problems it was causing. In addition to severe and vicious mood swings, apathy, lethargy, I peaked at 196. (Probably even 200, but I was in denial and avoided the scale)

I found this forum and decided to have it removed 1/2022. I gave my body about a 2 month break before getting paragard (copper; 100% hormone free) I'm now steadily 155-160 and dropping as of June 2022. No changes to diet or exercise, really, except maybe wanting to do things more often. My GYN said "the results speak for themselves. They may say it's not a side effect but it clearly was for you."

BONUS: I no longer want to but everyone's head off all the time. And I'm much happier! Replace it, sis.
