Hello, folks. My kid has been diagnosed with accommodative esotropia for some time. He got his glasses, but I think they are not helping any more. I would like to know what to do. Should we go for surgery? Or there is some other possibility? I would appreciate all your advices.
Hello. Accommodative esotropia usually appears within children who are farsighted. It usually appears around 2 years old, but it can appear later. Eye exercises are also recommended, I don’t know if you have tried with this. But, if you’ve tried everything, maybe you should go for a surgery. It is done in general anesthesia. If an expert is good, you don’t need to worry a lot. Consult your kid’s ophthalmologist. I hope everything will be all right. Bye!
