Naive. Many prescription drugs provide psychotropic effects immediately after use and placebo has nothing to do with it.

Can I please know how much mg would be recommended? I started with 18mg today and i don't feel any different at all. I have an sat next month and my adhd is a problem; what is the next dosage that I should go to? When should I take it the day of the test?? PLEASE HELP

Are you a doctor?? Placebo effect my ass, it jacks you up the same as meth. Tried it once and same sincerio was wired,couldn't sleep and a bit jittery.

This is an old post, but that is definitely NOT TRUE. Concerta works immediately on whomever takes it. Period. It is NOTHING Like an anti depressant.

I take Adderrall XR 20 mg every morning and I have a prescription for Intimidate release of 20 mg for if I need to take it later in the day. I have ADHD.
I know that if you don't have ADHD it has a different effect on people who take Adderrall. It makes you concentrate and stay up and its hard for people to go to sleep off of it. People that actually have ADHD can go to sleep off if it. Adderrall works different for people who actually have ADHD. It helps us focus and concentrate, but we are able to call asleep anytime from the Adderrall.
I hope this kind of helps you. I'm not sure if I explained everything correctly. I am a nurse and work in healthcare so I know a lot about meds.

Thank you for your very Informative comparison. I've finally been diagnosed with adult ADD. I'm 54, an RN , Hospice (high stres) and have struggled with attention, focus and not getting things accomplished most of my life. I started on straterra for one month. 30mg..insurance didn't pay for but I felt it left me tired during day. My Dr has now switched me to immediate release amphetamine salts combo I'm on third day of treatment, a little nervous feeling but more focused. Last night I felt a sudden drop like I just could sit and stare the rest of the night. Also I already have sleep issues and first night I didn't take trazadone as visual. Didn't sleep all night. Took adderral in the morning took my trazadone and slept great. I take cymbalta for depression as well. This adderall seems to pep me up. I am mostly happy and feel I love love love everyone on this. BTW I tried a friends Ritalin and i was one vicious female. Be careful and do lots of research on these medications. Keep a log of your moods and reactions every day. And share these with your doctor
